| Ok i have a quick question for people who breed and show dogs. Im a graphic/webdesigner and i have a few clients that have pet related websites, but i recently had a contact from someone who shows and breeds. Now i have no problem building this website, im really excited actually, but id like to talk to them a bit first about there biz, basically i dont want to associate myself or business with a puppy mill or a bad breeder. Though i tend to think that if they go through all the expense and time it takes to keep and show a dog they surely cant be a mill, it takes to much dedication. But how do i find out this info out from them without sounding like im being rude, i dont want to offend them. lol but i have to make sure to. We only to family friendly sites, so i just would die if i designed something for someone who was a mill or not reputable, but im sure if they were they would just lie, i just have to ask, just like i have to ask clients if the pictures and things they supply me with they have permission or copyright of, its just info i need so i know im not contributing to something bad. I cant disclose there name or info, it against our policy (there not yorkie breeders anyway), but id really like to just be able to talk to them about there practices without sounding like im insane lol Would you be offended if i asked questions, if say i was building a site for you? How would you advise me about finding out, i dont have enough info from the intial contact to do a search, trust me ive tried lol I asked some people what they thought about asking all together and i figured thed say, its not your problem just design the site, but they agree with me, your dealing with something thats living and breathing and you need to know its reputable and theres no harm there.

| Well I did get to talk to her, by phone, i was a nervous wreck, but shes very protective of her babies and was very adament I do them justice on the artwork even though were doing exagerated illustrations lol She breeds only 1 to 2 times a yr I gathered and mostly shows, everything about the breeding was an afterthought her main concern was the main site, so i know shes not making this about profit and to just sell or her point would be all about the puppies, so i do feel better now lol I didnt have to ask anything she wanted me to have as much info as possible. She also frequents a board for that particular dog and helps others there so thats a big plus for me. (i found that searching her name, feel like a stalker now ugg lol) We have another phone meeting scheduled so if anyone still has some good advice or questions to ask id be glad to hear them, ive reaserched breeding for awhile but its always better from someone whos in that situation, and i sure have never shown a dog. ;D
