Update on my Mom
 
My Mom's condition has deteriorated to the point she can no longer be rehabbed and will be going in to Hospice. She suffered a mild heart attack last night and has pneumonia. It is breaking my heart to se my once so strong mother in such a terrible state. The really hard part is she says she wants to try rehab but it is no longer an option. Please pray for her and for my family to have strength to handle this. Thanks

Patti I am so sorry, I know we both have been going in the same direction with our parents and I sincerely feel your heartbreaking...I am sending extra prayers for you and your mom, and family...If I can do anything for you please let me know...I am here for you...God bless her heart and yours...I swear this year has taught me the biggest lesson in life, to spend ever moment you can and appreciate what you have cause it can be taken away in a heartbeat...and it really sucks getting older...Sending you big hugs, just remember your not alone Patti...It so hard but I am praying God puts his arms around you alittle tighter, so you can handle this...:hug: :bighug:

Oh no...I'm so sorry Patti and have had you in my prayers since I heard.. :( :( :( Keep strong friend and I hope they can treat that pnemonia....I feel so bad for you I just don't know what to say but am sending you a big hug....and will be hoping for better news with your next update

I talk to her a couple times a day.. Patti is really having rough time seeing her mom suffering. It is really painful. I wish her mom doesn't need to suffer so much. Her mom is a lovely lady. She has shown me around her independent senior building when I visited her in January.. Sometimes life is not fair.... :(

Let us keep praying for Patti and her family!!

I wish I knew the right words to express my feelings... I was so hopeful when I saw your post and am devestated to read your mother's health took a turn for the worse. How is your father doing? I hope you have someone helping you care for him and that you are not having to shoulder it all yourself.

Oh no, Patti! I feel so bad to read this update. I was so hoping for some good news. I have been praying and hoping for her to recover from the stroke. My heart just aches for you. I know exactly how you feel, to watch your once strong mom go downhill and become so weak. I will keep praying for a miracle! Big hugs to you and know you're on my mind and in my prayers.

Thanks so much for the prayers and kind words. My Mom is really going down hill fast. She is scared and we don't know what to do besides be with her. My Dad is in denial and thinks she is going to be fine. But the stress of it all is wearing on him very heavily. This is the most difficult thing in my life and I just don't know how I will get through it.
