I'm Going To Kill This Woman!
 

Okay, I'm p*ssed.. Today at work a couple came to our facility and were outside reading our signs (we were closed). I walked out to check with them and give them our business card with our hours (I work at a private dog/cat rescue) and I was nearly knocked off my feet when the woman opened her mouth and started talking. I am going to quote her.. You won't believe this.

"Hi, we don't want to adopt your dogs. We want you to kill our dog for us."

me- "Excuse me? I'm sorry we are not a vets office and we are a no-kill dog shelter, is there a reason you want to put your dog down, are they in pain or sick?"

"No, she's a toy dog and she's 15 and I'm f'ing sick of her. I've had her 15 years and now she's starting to pee in the house so I want you to kill her for me. I tried to take her to my vet but he wouldn't do it because he says there's nothing wrong with her."

me-"So she isn't sick or in pain? She's just old? And you want to put her down because she's old?"

"That's what I said, could you go inside and call around to the vets around here and find out who's the cheapest to kill her?"

me-(dead silence) "I'm sorry but I refuse to aid you in killing your dog. This is going to go on your conscience not mine. You need to leave. If you want I can get our director and he can explain to you why what you're doing is wrong."

And they just walked away cursing under their breath... :mad:

I walked back inside and started bawling..

We can only take in so many animals at our facility because we're a no-kill facility so we can only take in as many as we adopt out. And right now we are overloaded with over 75 dogs and several are being returned this weekend. One of them is a pitbull that was adopted 8 years ago! WTF!? (sorry for my language) And we have to try and take in animals that are adoptable because we're not a 'sanctuary'.

A 15yr old dog would never have a chance of being adopted and would probably have died in our facility from shock from being thrown from her 15years of being a family pet to living in a kennel..

How do these people sleep at night?

These dogs give their WHOLE lives to us.. They love us unconditionally with all their hearts.. And when they grown old.. the thanks we give them.. Is to kill them?

I just had to vent.. I can't stand it anymore.

I hate people like that. That is HORRIBLE!!! That poor baby.

That is so heartbreaking.
I know I shouldn't say this, but I hope that woman's children will do the same to her when she is old and incontinent.

That is just terrible!! It makes me want to cry for that poor baby :( People like that do not deserve to have dogs...

So people have no consideration for life. That is terrible. I wouldn't be surprised if she yells at and hits the dog for her incontinence.:(

I can't type what I would like to here. It would be censured for sure! I would have told her sure I can kill your dog and then took it and found a loving home for the poor thing.

Kind of makes you wonder how their elderly family members would fare in their care, doesn't it?

I would have just taken the dog from her. :mad: _ich. :mad: I wouldn't have been able to stand letting her leave with the dog. If she is that ugly of a person than she will just take the dog and drop it off someplace or kill it herself. That poor baby in her last years of life deserves to live safely and happily. :mad: _itch :thumbdown

I would love to someday be in a place in life where I could be a place for ugly people like herself to leave thier babies so that I could help find them a home where they could be loved.

I truly believe it's all karma.. what goes around comes around and one day she will suffer as that poor dog has suffered. People who abuse and mistreat animals are the foulest of sinners because they are hurting Gods greatest gift to us, unconditional love.

I have a 14 year old chi and sure she gets on my nerve but then I think of all the love she has and will show my family is unreal.I will clean up her aciddents. Until I don't have to anymore. But to kill her because she is old is wrong.

This makes me sick to my stomach. I really hope the Lord touches her and she changes her mind about putting her baby down or finds a loving home for her.

Oh my gosh! I can't even imagine how someone could have that attitude...and after 15 years! We just love our Marty to death and he has only been with us for a year and a half. I can't imagine how much I'll love him when we've had him for 15 years.

Here I am willing to pay whatever it takes to keep my baby healthy and now I want to get another I wish I was close to you I would take the dog from them and save the 1500.00 and just put down old rugs for her. What would she think:D it her son/daughter took her to the Doctor and said "shes old and in missing the toilet at night can you kill my mom for me...... who are these people:confused: and if they can sleep at night they must take pills to do it.:aimeeyork I love my dog more that I love anything in the world:aimeeyork God bless you for not tearing her hair out.:animal-pa :)

People like that make me sick. Poor dog

You know what I would have said to her:

"Go to Hell. Directly to Hell. Do Not Pass Go. Do Not Collect $200. "

I think God has a special place in his heart for these animals. And I think he sends these unconditionally loving beings to us to test us and see which of us can truly love another being and which ones can't. And I think He has something in mind for people who act the way these people acted. And it isn't Heavenly.

i probably would have taken the dog from her and took it home myself. i know that can't always be done but now she will find someone else to kill that poor dog thats clueless about what that horrid owner is wanting to do to it! i also would have asked her what if someone thought that way about you instea of putting you in a nursing home or trying to care for you in your old age just wants you put to sleep! what goes around comes around! poor dog

Why did I open this? It's my fault and now I have to think of that
poor old dog being abused or killed. I'm sick to my stomach.

I hope she rots in HE_L!

OMG, how could someone that "hopefully" has loved a pet for 15 yrs be so CRUDE!!!!!!!!!! Lets just hope that this poor beautiful baby was loved and not treated badly all the years it was in the care of the monstrous people!!!!!
