Sorry you are feeling so bad. Hope the medicine kicks in soon. |
OUCH! So sorry....hope you get better soon! I had my first one EVER (EVER) last year - which is weird because I am older (ha)....anyway, the day before we were taking a driving trip, I had to go to the doctor to get antibiotics and the pill that makes your pee bright orange. I also had tons of yogurt and cranberry juice (the real organic kind - that is pretty stout)! There is stuff you can get over the counter? Like medicines?? Can someone tell me what that is? I had bought some cranberry supplements too. It seems that every since I had that infection (it was last summer), I always have the urge to pee, but it was nothing like the infection...I mean, I never had one before, but I KNEW that was what it was! (if that makes sense)!!! YUCK! Sending hugs! |
I get those once in a while, OUCH:( I"m sorry! What works for me is when I feel it coming on, to take the Azo Standard stuff immediately and start hydrating with lots of water and cranberry juice (100% juice, NOT the cocktail). I've nipped a few in the bud like that. That Azo only works if you catch it in the very very beginning. I hope you feel better soon:) |
Awww, so sorry. They are miserable. I used to get them everytime I took an antibiotic until we figured out that the antibiotics were causing them. Now, I just have to take an antifungal along with the ab and no bladder inf. Mine always stopped by my 2nd dose of ab's. I hope you feel better soon. :( |
Kristi I hope you are feeling better today!! |
I do hope you are feeling better today and your meds are starting to work. |
Kristi, how's the meds doing today? |
Thank you so much! Oh you guys are so sweet! I feel better just reading your get well wishes! The antibiotics dont seem to be kicking in yet. I hope today it will get better! My little boy just went to stay with my mother in law for the night.... I just couldnt chase after him. I feel better when I can sit down and squish my legs together and drink my water! Thank you so much for caring about me! I dont know what I would do without you guys, seriously! |

What type of antibiotic are you on? Did you have a urine culture done? There are some types of bacteria that only certain antibiotics will cure. The standard meds many times don't wory effectively at all. If you aren't feeling better by the time you've had 24 hours of antibiotics, call your doctor back. Uristat (over the counter) will help with the pain, but will turn your urine orange and will stain - so pull out the old granny undies!! I've found the nausea is from the infection and pain, not usually the meds. Sometimes an ice pack helps as well (between the legs or on the low abdomen). Hope you feel better soon, Kristi...... |
