still don't personally |
I can't believe this thread popped up today. As I was laying in bed before I got up this morning I was thinking of sending a "HELP" thread. I am new to the site but also know nothing about computers. I know, I know--where have I been! I enjoy reading all the posts and seeing all the little faces- see I don't even know what they area called- but don't know how to use them. Tried once and only got "eek". Also don't know what an avatar is and have NO CLUE how to get a picture of Murfee on here so everyone can see what a precious lamb he is. Am having double knee replacement surgery soon and am living in my camper while waiting for a new house to be built in the country and have no friends here. Now how is that for a little pity party!!!! |

To make sure your pictures are not huge and resize them...This is one of the easiest program on the net to resize your pics....http://bluefive.pair.com/free95.htm Scroll to PixResizer...Download the program..it's really small and very easy to install... Depending on the size of your image you just have to click ONE SIZE (USUALLY 50%) or 460 Pixels and it resizes it for you... SAVE YOUR PICTURES AS JPEG'S or they will not show as thumbnails. ONCE you resize and want to upload photos into a post ... In your post, Scroll down and you'll see Additional Options Click MANAGE ATTACHMENTS Click BROWSE to find the picture on your Computer Double-Click the picture....then click UPLOAD Click Submit REPLY And Peters - HUSH UP !!! You're a great YT member !!! I enjoy your posts and you DO belong ! |
ps Patty...GOOD LUCK with your surgery !! My dad had his done and make SURE you do the physical therapy...he wasn't as good as he should have been and his gives him problems...that's the key to healing properly and you will have friends if you keep hanging with us ! |

Hi Patty, Can't wait to see your new avatar. Villette will make it awsome I'm sure. You'll find lot's of friends here ready to assist you or just chat. Good luck with your surgery. I had a cousin who had the double knee surgery and like V said, theraphy is key. Make sure you follow through and you'll be up and running in no time. Good luck with surgery and let us know how you do. Can't wait to see your "lamb":) |
I haven't been a member here very long ,yet already feel a sense of belonging. We are all a unit of worth, and as we read each other's comments, post replys etc it makes us all equal contributing members.Clearly we all have dogs that we adore,so in essence that is the major thread.Without each other's contributions YT would not exist. My door is open for friendships.Should you ever need info on growing rare roses, house construction or health concerns( I'm also a RN) or chatting about the loves of our lives (mainly our pups) look me up!:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) |

Then hurry up and graduate and come to Canada! We have a major shortage of RN's here.My part-time job more often than not looks like full time as staffing is so desperate. When can you start so I can stay home with Bunny!:D :D :D |
I don't remember the day i felt belonged, but i love it here & i'm glad i joined. :) |
I have been a member since 2005.. Thats is when i got my yorkie Mocha.. Only after having her for 3 months she passed away.. I got a new dog (Maltipoo) and even though i still read posts here, sometimes i feel like i don't belong.. Everyone is so nice thoug.. I had a nice online relationship with Lenora, Kristy,Fran, and several other people.. There are so many new people here now so I guess i just have to keep posting to feel like i belong again |
Some day.... I haven't read everyone's post just the ones on the first page. I feel like there are definitely some people that have known eachother for a longer period of time and have established friendships. I don't feel jealous at all, but I have to admit that it's something to be desired. I am a stay at home mom and I am originally from Texas. That's where my friends and family are at. I know no one in Wisconsin but my neighbor and her family. I don't know what I'm gonna do when they move. Anyways, I crave the fulfillment of friends and the way they help eachother out, talk about things, and even keep eachother in their prayers. In the time that I've been a member, I do feel like it is a tight knit community and I hope to be on a first name bases at some point and send stuff back and forth to eachother like a lot of you girls do. I know it's a matter of time, but I do hope it happens soon. he he. |
i too am not only new to YT, but also to the computer world...very behind in times, i know. but i find you all very entertaining and informative, i have had yorkies for about 15 years, so i'm not necessarily new to the breed but i seem to learn something new here EVERY single time i log on. (which i am finding is quite frequently). don't have a digital camera, and don't know, even with the instructions i have read over and over again how to "post" a picture or put anything on my avatar thing...oh well, i still really really enjoy being here. also need to know how to become a donating member, what's a paypal? so, obviously i can't say that i even come close to feeling like i belong, i think i'm an alien... |
I will let you know when I feel like I "belong". There have been many people that have been nice and I have even talked to a couple on the phone that were very nice people. (AmberIV and Ladyhawk) and have talked with a few through the pms but I cant honestly say I feel like I belong. Others have been here alot longer and have made friends and have meet ups and such but I am more of a loner and like to just spend time with the hubby and the yorkies. I just moved to this area a few years back and dont have many friends except the people I work with and my kids live a few hours away so the yorkies are pretty much my life. My kids and family dont understand my love or passion for my dogs so it is nice to come on here and at least have a place to read others comments that feel the same way about their dogs as I do. At least I dont feel like the "crazy yorkie lady" when I am in here because there are so many here that feel the same way as I do when it comes to our dogs. The "belonging" will come in time I am sure. |

and CO_yorkie_momma and you too Peters .....HUSH UP !!! :D :D :D You've been here long enough that people know you !!! I do !! :D :D oh and Brooke (bkessler) - you too !! You used to post so much and you need to get back in the swing girl !!! Its hard keeping up with all the new names but the more you post the faster people will get to 'know' your name ...To the new members in this thread in case I missed you when you joined - WELCOME !! Don't be shy and just keep reading and replying....you'll feel like you belong soon enough !!! |
I love being here and the knowledge and support from forum members are just priceless. The members that I could remember most when I was new are Villette, then Cchu that made me feel more welcomed here. Then there were the times when I was down and needing some support, everyone was so generous to provide me with it. I still remember some of the members that provided me with the support Saleswman, Doortego, and many many more and not to forget Safire (Tetley's Mom) who drove here with her husband to visit :) I don't really feel that I belonged and I understand to feel belonged takes more than just reading and replying which is what I usually do. It take more than that like maybe if someone else cliques and you can develop something more from there but I really like it here and am here to stay :) |
