I just wanted to let you know that I am praying for you and let you know that I know exactly what you are going through. My dad has also been a work-aholic his whole life....he's been working full-time since he was 18 years old. During the summer of 2004 he started not feeling like himself...depressed, tired all of the time, ect. The doctor just prescribed him some antidepressants and sent him on his way. Well in July 2004 he started having "heart burn," drove himself to the hospital where he collapsed. Turns out he had 2 blocked arteries and had to have 2 stents put in. 1 year later he started having chest pains again and had to have another stent put in. He ended up retiring from his job bc alot of his heart problems were stress-related. Now he is doing well. He is on all types of meds and he has changed his diet. However, it has been a long and hard 2+ years since his first heart attack. But with the advances in modern medicine, he is doing well today.
Of course I will keep you and your father and the rest of your family in my prayers. Just rest assured knowing that with the advances in modern medicine, your father will be in good hands. (((((((((hugs)))))))) |
