I heard she's been having a hard time dealing her aunt's passing (who died of cancer a few weeks ago) and she did it because it was a therapeutic thing.

I saw the tail end of it on TV. It showed her with out her hair and then some guy home from the war hugging someone with his head shaved. So I didnt get the why she did it.

Well this is my take on Brittney...... I have a 13 yr old sister at the time when Brittny came out she was very young and she loved her i to enjoyed her music but what changed everything for me was the nickolodion(sp?) kids awards when she went out mind you for a concert for kids the age of 7 and she came out in this white tight top with no bra on and headlights from hell and just before she went on she had a nice denim jacket on that she removed it was a discrace for childre to be exposed to that. I get that she didn't want the young fan base and wanted to be sexy but there is a time and place for that and not at a kids concert!! After that i lost all respect for her nacause her fan base was kids and she knew it. I mean her concerts are like porn flicks not that i have anything against that it's just she dug herself this hole she is in she was warned not to marry K-Fed and begged not to do it by her own mother she has been miserable ever since. She acts out all the time. I do feel bad about some of the things the media says about her and her kids like when she almost dropped her baby that could've happened to anyone she stepped wrong it just happened to be caught on tape. This girl is deeply depressed and listening to the wrong people her mother needs to step in at take control of this girl. I do feel sorry for her but this is the life she wanted she wanted fame and money. There are a lot of things she could do to come back but she insists on acting weird and trashy(and i mean trashy in a redneck way) It's gross she looks like she doesn't shower she has no self respect she looks dirty! She is a beautiful girl and needs to get her crap together she is a mom now. OMG sorry i didn't relize this was so long lol ok i'm off my soap box lol

edited to add.... BTW it says she shaved her head because she didn't want people touching her anymore.

Hmmm, I don't know why I feel like this, but what's SUCH the big deal? Hell if it was socially acceptable, I'd shave mine off too! I'm tired of my big curly hair. Why is it ok for guys and not girls?
And it's not like she can't afford a beautiful wig or hair extensions if she gets tired of it. It's only hair.

I think Brittany is country and at first enjoyed the attention of being a sex symbol, then I really think she just wanted to to go back to being country & be a mom & wife-but men are such jerks. Maybe she has decided become gay, I think K-Fed could do that to a woman, He's the skank I think I might have shown my wahoo a time or 2 when partying in my younger days I wasnt a slut or skank, although I was called a tease alot. You get sick of people only thinking your somebody because your pretty. I'm not sure what Brittany is trying to prove but I hope she gets it together for her kids. I know how it feels to be trying so hard to be a good mom & then be slapped in the face "turned into childrens services" for any little thing & getting no recognition for all the things you've done right & all your hard work-it does something to you that cant be fixed. You try to wash it down with a beer maybe something stronger & then more stronger & hate what you become, what you let someone do to you. Sorry I know I'm over dramatic-Its my worst & best quality

This really depresses me. Like a lot. I used to love Britney so much. Back in her "Oops I Did it Again" and "Lucky" days. I could go up to my room and pull out at least 5 pictures I used to have around my room of her. and now she's totally screwed up her life. and her sister Jamie says that she wants to be just like Brit. =/

it's a BIG DEAL because she is a celebrity therefore anything she says or does turns into a huuuge scandal. especially when you have crazy paparazzi following you with cameras and when they see her doing that they want to be the first to get it to the media to make $$$$ & because lately she has been doing outrageous things and this just topped the cake for the media. i am more than sure if an average person like us shaves our head, it just might turn heads.

Whoa! I haven't heard about this or seen it on tv or in the magazines...so I didn't think it was true...but if Villette said it was in the news...it must be true! So sad...........another Hollywood youngster in "trouble". Today in our local Sunday paper, there was a huge article on Celebritites in Trouble....it is crazy!

Also because she has all this attention on her right now of course ppl are going to make a big deal about her shaving it, and the fact that she did it in front of the cameras didn't help. She could have done it at home. Also she WAS known as a sex symbol with beautiful hair, etc so her taking off that hair makes her less of that, and that's what ppl expect of her so they question it and talk about it. My friend thinks that since she went to rehab she shaved off her head to start new. So that when it grows out again she is starting off new and maybe that will help with the rehab process..
