Bad groomer!!! Cut ear off and super glued it!! I just heard this on the morning new, I dont remember where it happened but a little shiztsu(sp?) dog got her ear cut off and then super glue back on so the owner wouldn't notice:mad: . The owner was in tears and said that she noticed some dirt and was washing her doggies ear and it jsut fell off:eek:, OMG I would have a heart attack if that happened to any of my babies:(. Now the store is closed and they can't find the groomer:eek: . The more I think about it, the more I want to learn how to groom my babies, even if I mess up a little better than risking any part of them:mad:. The last time I took Tinkerbell she had some razor burns on her bottom near her thigh:eek:  |
omg!!!that poor baby... that groomer is lucky he fled... |
Oh that is terrible! |
Ohh my god i would of went back to that office and raised H*ll. That's why i groom rocky myself i dont do a perfect job but you know what at least im careful with him and he gets his trim, nails done but shaved lol and all the TLC he needs at the same time |
Was it the WHOLE ear or a piece of the ear? That's the reason why I stay and watch the groomer LIKE A HAWK for the entire process! I never leave, not even for 5 minutes to get some fresh air. That groomer is seriously lucky that it wasn't one my MY dogs that happened to. There would be no place that groomer could run to that I wouldn't hunt him/her down like the dog he/she is and handle things my own way (and ANYONE who knows me personally knows that I am NOT joking in the least). :thumbdown I understand accidents happen and no one is perfect ... but don't try to cover it up!! What if that poor dog's ear would have got infected from dirt sticking to the glue? |
YIKES! That is awful! What in the world could she have been thinking? Like the lady was never going to notice?! |
How awful for the dog and the owner. That's a goormer? I think not! The more horror stories I read the more determined I get to groom my own pet. I have seen first hand in Petco, where I have taken Buddy until 6mos ago when I witnessed a young man in his 20's scream at a boxer that he had on the table who was nipping him everytime he tried to cut around his feet. The dog was obviously frightened and it did not help when the groomer kept screaming at him. My groomer looked embarrased and I said I'm glad that's not my dog. I walked out and never went back. I always wondered why you can wait at these places for your pet to be groomed. Scary what goes on in these grooming places. I hope she can sue the pants off of them if she finds them. Carol & Buddy |
Gee Wiss!!!!!!!!! That poor baby! How on earth could that lady super glue that poor babies ear back on??? |
wow !!! |
OMGoodness! This is horrible! That poor baby. |
OMFG! :( |
I found the news article... I can't believe this happened - I feel so bad for her and her dog. "Groomer Allegedly Cuts Dog?s Ear Off, Glues It Back On POSTED: 5:30 pm PST February 14, 2007 UPDATED: 6:36 pm PST February 14, 2007 GIG HARBOR, Wash. -- Anni Sheriffius said she was trying to wash off what she thought was dirt on her dog Jasmine?s ear when the ear fell off. Sheriffius rushed her dog to the veterinarian to learn that the dog?s ear had been cut off by a dog groomer and super-glued back on. ?And I saw the ear float away, and it freaked me out,? Sheriffius said. Jasimine, a shi tzu, had to undergo treatment for an infection. Sheriffius said she still has the ear in a plastic bag, and has been crying for weeks at the thought of someone hurting her dog. Pierce County sheriff?s investigators are looking into possible criminal charges against the unlicensed dog groomer. ?Once they tried to hide it and glued the ear back on, that?s not good for the dog. There are all kinds of things that can happen, infection, it's cruelty to animals,? Det. Ed Troyer said. The shop where Jasmine was injured, J?Raes Pet Grooming, appears to have shut down, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported. ?I?d like her never, ever to touch another dog, that?s what I?d like to see,? Sheriffius said. " |
I could never ever let someone else groom my dogs. I don't know if I could control myself if one of them ever hurt my babies. I know in my heart it would be an accident (at least I hope so) but I wouldn't be able to control myself. |
I saw it on Houston's Channel 13 news this morning when I was getting ready for work! I told my husband that we had just been talking about this on YT earlier. I can't believe the groomer tried to hide it!!!!  |

Isn't sick?? Poor baby?? and poor lady to see her little dogs ear just floating away:(. People make me sick:mad:  Now I am more scared to take them to the groomer:mad: |
OMG THATS SICK!!!! i cannot belive that, i remeber when frnakie was cut by the dumb lady at petco and i said forget it it was my first experience and it scared me, now i do it at home, i may not do it perfect but he doesnt have matts her doesnt have hair in his eyes, his behind in trimmed and he looks good, these days people want to make a ton of money (not necc. grooming but all occupations) and they dont want to do a good job. they want to just take your money and run. its sick, on my tahoe i have spent an unsurd amount of money on it and i guarnetee that not one thing hasnt had something wrong with it, or the person just didnt do a good job. its sick man. we work hard for our money and people just take it. |
Oh My God, that's worse than horrible. I can't image how that owner felt when part of her dogs ear just came off   I hope she finds that groomer and sues the pants off of her. To cover up that terrible mistake, if that's what you can call it, and not tell the dogs owner, she deserves to be sued. I pray that the dog fully recovers both mentally and physically from that experience. As well as the owner of the dog. Rudys Mom (Dawn):animal-pa |

.how in the world could you not nootice your dogs ear had been cutt off and glued on before you took it home or at least the same day ugh poor dog! i think that "groomer" should have their ear cutt off and glued back on what freaks. |
Mine have never been to a groomer except for nail cut and hair pulled out of ears. I have always groomed them myself, and now I even just file their nails each week and pull the hair myself. Saves a lot of time and money. It's hard to say what I would do if that happen to one of mine. I hope they catch her. |
I heard about this today and it just made me sick! I so feel for the owner and her dog. I hope they sue that groomer. I heard at one point today that the groomer closed shop and ran. Then later I heard the shop was shut down. At any rate, I worry where else that groomer might show up! |
