I also know this lady that either worked at a construction company or her husband did and she once told me that if you had a certain lock (can't remember which one it was at the time), that she had a key that would fit any lock from that maker.....Whoa! I don't know if that is something special for the contracters/builders or what....I just know that I didn't want her to know what my locks were.......I acutally checked to make sure it wasn't that brand. So, any crook or not so honest person that works for a place like that....wow.......that is just too scary![/QUOTE]

yes at lowes we were looking for locks for our french doors and if you look it will say this key fits door numbers such and such.
and we bought 2 different packs, i mean same brand same color same everything same number but you know 2 actual packs and put them up and sure enough our french door keys and the key to the washroom door fits its the same key thats fits, that scary i mean does that mean that everyone who bought that door lock product number does that mean i can go and walk up to their house (say that i knew) and just use my key and get inside. imean i think so, cause we installed 2 locks on 2 diff. doors and thekeys are excatly the same and fit each other.
