:( We're up in Parachute and all the snow just melted off our driveway!! Patrick & I were out for a drive yesterday and were admiring the mesa [south face] which was finally all snow free! The North face practically always has snow up there! It rained for two days and all last night! This AM .... crap was all back up there again ... snow all over it, but thank God it isn't down here!! I'm soooo sick of snow .... these southern bones are craving warm weather!! ;)

:snow: Ughhhh,we got about 4 inches of snow this afternoon and are supposed to get 8-10 more tonight and tomorrow.I tell ya what i am so ready for spring!I need some flower's to take care of,my house plant's are so boaring.I cant wait to get pic's of Lily in the flower's.

You guys are all going to think I'm nuts....but I want it...lol I'm ready. I love snow days home with the kids and my boss always transfers the phones to my house and I get to stay home with them. Make for a fun day. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow....lol

Gee, must be nice! I get the third degree from my boss, and that's even w/my SO and I taking turns calling off for her snow days. Ugh!

Well...hang onto your hat girl cuz here it comes! We weren't supposed to start getting anything until after midnight but it started snowing around 8:00 or so. I think it's actually a mix of snow and frozen rain right now because you can hear it hitting the ground...you can't hear snow hit the ground.

Funny story: I teach at 8am, 10am, 12pm and 2pm on Wednesdays. My boss suggested that I stay at work Tuesday night so I would be on time for work since they are predicting so much snow! See why I'm looking for a new job?

Gotta love a boss that is always thinking ahead, lol. Why don't you stay one step ahead of him and call in sick tomorrow morning? We've changed to 8 - 16" with sleet early Wed. am. I was supposed to be off tomorrow but I am filling in for a girl tomorrow nite. I haven't driven in snow for 8 years - yuk. Everyone take care while this "thing" blows thru.

I'm in southern Alabama, so we won't get any of that here, thank God!

I haven't seen snow here since I think was 1997, and I had to use all the snow in my yard, and my nighbors to build a snowman, less than waist high. Go ahead and laugh. We get hurrinces down here. Sure makes up for the lack of snow if you ask me.

I feel for the rest of you. Certainly have my prayers.

Wow. One of the towns near us started closing their schools 2 hours before it even started snowing. They have just started closing the schools near us. Usually they wait till morning so we have to get up and check then go back to bed. At least they let us know in advance this time. It has been sleeting and snowing here since 8:00 and in 2 hours we already have 2 1/2 inches on our deck and no signs of slowing down yet. Its coming your way Chachi.

that's weird.. we live by Rosemont (if anyone knows where that is:rolleyes: ) and there is NO snow here.. at least not coming down... I want it to snow.. but then again I don't.. I have to be at work at 7am.. so that means.. if it snows bad thoughout the night.. I'm calling off in the morning.. If not.. I gotta go:mad: :thumbdown

We are suppose to get up to 14 inches of snow here and they said it will start snowing on tuesday morning around 4 am and will continue snowing non stop until wednesday night.

You must be in the Southern part of the State. I am in Indy and we arre getting snow. Our Schools are closed today. The Northen part of the State is under a Blizzard advisory

Well they just closed the schools today. They were on a 2 hour delay. They are saying that we will be getting freezing rain later this morning and then turning to snow. Just talked to my brother in law in Anderson and they already have over 4 inches of snow and it is still coming. I am going to go to work this morning and try and do what visits I can until it starts getting bad and then I am heading home. Everyone be safe today.

Yes Denise.....I think you're nuts!!!! ROFLMAO!!! :D Really I'm glad you like snow....I don't think I ever will. As a bus driver, once the storm is over and the roads are plowed, I will still have to drive on snow packed roads. I'd rather drive the bus than my van, but it's still a pain.

I know what you mean ... I like some snow once in a while.....I love slow roasting something in the oven & watching the snow come down...My son & husband can't wait for a lot of snow so they can see how much snow the can plow through w/ 4 wheel drive on their Jeeps.:rolleyes:

You're welcome!! I was actually sitting here taking pictures when I saw your post. Took me a while to get the images small enough to post.

We have a free day today - Hubby and son playing video games, Mama and Sissy playing with the dog!

It's a blizzard here, schools were called off too! I am at work & I hope I can get home. I only work 7 miles to home, but I had it in 4 wheel drive thi smorning coming in at 7:30! Kay

they just closed our schools so my kiddies will be home soon..

We've been upped to 16 - 24" and I had the day off today till I said I would cover tonight for a girl at work who had a viewing to go to. I don't even have boots! :rolleyes: And I have to work at Kmart tomorrow cause everyone wanted v-day off. They never close - God forbid they lose a snow shovel sale instead of a life trying to get there to make that sale. (Can you tell how much I love working there?) Stay home everyone, and if you absolutely have to go out, please be safe.

I started a snow picture thread this morning...click the link and you can see the pictures I posted. We're still getting snow, supposed to all day and into tonight, so I'll probably post a few more later. I think it's pretty but I don't want to go out and drive in it!

Actually I am like you . . .if it is going to snow, I want tons of it so I have an excuse to stay home and spend more time with my furbabies :p I have a very steep driveway so people at work know that when we do get snow, I am going to be late as I cannot go down unless we shovel (more like snowblower) it . . .:)

We've had quite the mild winter so far this year :p

We've been upped to 20-30" and we will be in a state of emergency at midnight. It was beautiful when i got out of work a little after 9 tonite. Looked like tiny diamonds floating out of the sky - so quiet - no wind yet. The worst is going to hit late tonite.
