As a former organizer and participator of all Secret Santas, Boo Buddies, and all that other in the office stuff.... I'm in!! I love this stuff!

this is a great idea. if someone can let me know how, where, or who I need to talk to about this. I would love to be able to raise money for YT but I certainly don't want that to hinder people...I dont know that I would want to REQUIRE people to donate...the goal is to help people to get to know each other. let me put some more thought into this aspect of it but I am not closed to the idea of trying to raise money for YT in the process.

I am so glad everyone likes this idea. I am very excited to do this. Hubby is building me a nice database to store all of the info. I have a few people that have sent me their info already and I will be loading it into the database as soon as he is finished with it. I will then start pairing the puppy pals...it will be a random pairing. so you might get a puppy pal of the same sex, or you may get a pal of the opposite sex. but this is going to be a lot of fun. and I think we would switch pals once a year. does that sound ok??

How exciting!!!! I can't wait to get to know my new friend!! any ideas are certainly welcome. Please send me pm's with all of your info if you want to join..or if you have any ideas or info that might help me with this venture :)

I think the donation is a good idea. I have participated in some secret pals in other types of forums (nothing to do with yorkies) and sometimes some pals would drop out and leave their pal out in the cold without saying anything :(...

I am going to put some more thought into this...I literally posted that without thinking it all the way through :) but everyone has brought up some great points. I will want to make sure everyone is participating. I would hope that we can come up with some way of making sure of this. I will think about it some more. I certainly want to have some guidelines. I think that once a month, you should send something to your pal. doesn't have to be anything major, but at least a card, maybe some treats or something. and if you do not get a package, wether it be a card, pictures, treats, SOMETHING...then let me know and I will mention it to your pal. this way you do not have to say anything to them. if someone is not participating, we will have to find a new buddy for the pal that is left hanging. do you guys think once a mnonth is fair? Or should we stick to just special occasions such as bdays, anniversary's, holidays, etc?

let me know what you think and I will put some basic guidelines in place.

if you haven't already, can you please pm me with your email addresses so I can keep that in the database as well? this way we can keep a good communication level.
