I have a really big problem with Yorkie Talk
 

I really hate to say this but this is a really big problem for me.

I used to be able to get a lot done in a day. It seems that lately, I am at this computer far too much. Why? you might ask, and I would reply....it's all because of Yorkie Talk!

Laundry gets done very slowly. Floors aren't swept daily anymore. I can't remember the last time I took the garbage out....just kidding...I have one waiting to go out now (and here I am, on YT instead).

If any of you have any suggestions on how I can curb this abberant behavior, please tell me. I just don't know what to do. I need your help. :eek: :D

You can always join YA -- YorkieTalk Annonymous. We meet in the "Off Topic" section -- there is almost ALWAYS a member there to help you get through those tough times :eek: with a post that is NOT about yorkies.....

Oh, this is very much about Yorkies. In fact it is ALL about Yorkies. That's what got me into this in the first place. That is my life now. Yorkie this. Yorkie that. It's just Yorkie, Yorkie, Yorkie.

Hi....I'm Michelle a former myspace addict but I can honestly say that I've over come that addiction by replacing it with YORKIETALK LOL gotta love it.......I even leave it signed on at work sometimes.....so I can check on things.....I just have to be careful they can remote into our computers......(shrug)

yeah, dh and I had a big talk last weekend. he feels I spend way too much time in front of my laptop. he said that even when we are watchign our favorite shows together, I am lost in my computer. he feels really put out because of it. I guess I should try to divide my time better. we'll see :)

Believe me your not alone in this addiction.
I have had my computer in house for 3yrs. Rarely turn it on because I
am on it all day at work. Now that I found YT I am on at work and my
home computer is ON! Loving it. I think were all afraid we will miss something
if were not there. And we probably would.

Obviously, you are not alone!! I don't post all that much, but I come on here & start reading threads & just can't stop. Or I do a search for some information & that leads to 2 or 3 hours of reading. Luckily, my husband likes reading/hearing the things I find on YT, so I haven't gotten into too much trouble. :rolleyes:

Ah, don't worry about it sweetie. As long as you don't have three years worth of newspapers and garbage piling up (and 100 cats) you are ok. If that were the case we might start worrying about you. :D

ROTFL:yelrotflm :yelrotflm :yelrotflm My husband HATES Yorkietalk! It seems I'm on here constantly! I knew I had a problem when I would hear my husband walking toward the office and I would quickly close out of yt so he wouldn't know I was on here AGAIN!

No one would believe I am on here this much, I woke up at 3am and got on here this morning. lol :thumbup:

Very clever hook...I was like "problem with yorkie talk????" Seems we all have the same problem. I actually did take an involunary hiatus for about 2 months, came back and there's all new people...except for V, of course!:hug:

BTW, I'm diggin' most of the new people!!

Well, I for one want to thank Yorkie Talk for saving my life. I just lost my very special friend, way to early in her life. We had talk on the phone everyday at least for ten years. She had an up, down, family that were quite selfish. She was only 38 and I am 60 but we got along so well(She was a very sincere animal lover) Showing how her family was, I talked to her one day she said she didnt feel good and I told her go to bed and call me when you feel better. One week later I read her obit. in paper. I was lost. My phone didnt ring and I would dial half her number before I remembered. I have been looking for a second yorkie for awhile and in my search found this sight. I was always a day late not gettin on here everyday. So it started,everyday, twice a day, three times now if I dont have yorkie talk right there I am afraid I will miss a new home found(Day Late) or an exciting Yorkie Railroad(Little Gwen). Or even better is when someone tries to scam a YT. I remeber just the other day I saw someone called one of you ladys a Liar. OOOPPPSSSS. I knew the fight was on. I just knew there were still nice people around and I found them here on Yorkie Talk and am Honored to know you all. Yorkie Lovers Rock!!!!

Syl, I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. :( She died way too young. I am addicted to YorkieTalk also Someone else mentioned they had Dial Up for the internet, so did I and realized that if I wanted to get on YorkieTalk at home, I'd better get DSL so I don't tie up the phone. I now have DSL and YorkieTalk whenever I want it. YEAH!!!!!:thumbup:

So sorry for the loss of your dear friend, especially so early in life. How nice that YT is here for all who need. I came thinking I only needed to learn and that I am, but also finding so many great folks I would not have "met" otherwise! There is something special about being about to share with other Yorkie-lovers!

I just want to say, I too lost a dear one and yorkie talk has helped me so much. I don't post so much, but if I couldn't get on here at times and get my mind off my darling niece who died just last March 11th at 17 years old I don't know what I would have done. You people are fantastic. Sorry for the sadness, but just had to share. YT helps us in so many ways.

I have to ask you....are your Yorkie's eyes really that color or did you enhance the photo?

Where else can you find so much information and hear so many stories from people who have yorkies? My family doest understand my love and passion I have for my dogs so this is the place where people feel the same as I do and I dont feel like such a freak when I talk about my dogs all of the time. I am not sure if it is an addiction or a way to prove to myself than I am not the only one that is obsessed with my yorkies.
