Seeking a name for online dog blog My boss at the newspaper, who knows I'm a Yorkie nerd, asked if I would host a dog blog for the paper. It would be fairly low-key, with my main job being to solicit pictures, post a calendar of events, and maybe pose some questions for online discussions. I told them I'd only do it if it was for pets, not working dogs like sled dogs. But I need help coming up with a name! Dog Blog is no good because it's been taken. Any ideas? Here are some of the other blog names the paper has: ALASKA POLITICS by Kyle Hopkins ART SNOB by Dawnell Smith SHOP GIRL by Leslie Boyd HOCKEY BLOG by Doyle Woody IRAQ BLOG by Rich Mauer LUSH LIFE by Katie Pesznecker PUSH PLAY by Rosey Robards ALASKOLOGY by Steve Edwards |

Ooo how's the dog blog concept going? Will it be online or in print only? What's the name of this paper so that we can read Eddie and Jack's views on the state of politics, dog parks, and kibble? |

I ran about 10 choices past other employees, and the feedback was almost perfectly split. Some of the more popular choices were: Pawprints Dogbytes Woof doglog I was trying to get away from using "dogblog" because everybody and their mother uses it, but the more I think of it, it's probably the most recognizable out of all of them. I may just go with that. I'll let you know when it's up and running. |

it could have a double meaning though. |
Boy, Dobiedude, you're all over the place aren't you? |

Thanks, dobiedude, for helping out here! I've actually had a couple people tell me "dog log" sounds like something they have in their front yard. After all that searching, I'm leaning more and more toward plain old dog blog. Yes, everyone else uses it, but at least people will know instantly what it's about. |

I just wanted to tell you that. |
