-47 degrees here today....a beach and a palm tree would be nice!
 
It's supposed to be -40 to -47 degrees today.....at those temps it's the same in farenheit and celcius...lol! Not a day to be outside! :)

Oh what I wouldn't give to be on a beach somewhere with the warm sand, a palm tree or two and a margarita. Sounds much more romantic than a snowsuit, long johns and hot chocolate! lol

We're not quite as cold at that, but we're at 1 degree farenheit with a wind chill of -25. It is freakin' freezing!!!!

I have exactly 19 days till I'll be laying on the beach with lots of palm trees and whale frolicking in the distance!!!! I will miss my babies, though...

It's somewhere in the teens here. Bitter and windy!
Can't wait for spring and we have had a mild winter until now.

BRRRR! That is cold.:eek:
It is suppose to be high 70s maybe 80 degrees today. Will have to use my sunblock sweater.;)

i saw on the weathernetwork that the north was going to have those temps (can't say i miss it a bit) but i told my mom... once it goes below -30 with the windchill (which it was here today) just stop giving us the temp... tell us it is too cold and go inside and stay there.. because relaly who can tell the difference between -30 and -40.. it's just frickin cold!!! bundle those babies up and enjoy a nice day inside!!

It is in the 70's today...hotter yesterday and we needed the AC...I don't go to the beach on the weekends...better on weekdays when everyone is working...

I LOVE being in Florida don't you???? The sun is so warm and the palm trees swaying in the breeze.............it's just such a delight. Just hate when the sand gets in between my toes though........but sometimes we just have to put up with those little disruptions of an otherwise perfectly beautiful warm, sunny day!:D

I am beyond spoiled...the one thing I love about this place is the sun..it shines no matter the temp...I had enough "grey" winters in Md to last me a lifetime...the sun makes you happy whatever your problems.
My brother moved here two years ago from VA. Right after moving he found out he cancer.. said he rather be sick where it is warm then freezing..he is doing well now and said the sun made him feel better when he was at his worst...BUT we have to take the storms with the sun...one little snag in paradise. LOL

70's!!!???? What I wouldn't give for that right now. It is -16 with -40 windchill in my town right now (Minnesota), AprilLove rings the bell to go outside, I open the door, she gets a whiff of the cold then runs to her pottybox INSIDE! lol

Wow, -47! And if that's celsius, that's -52 F!

We had a record high of plus 48 F a couple days ago. Now it's settled into a more normal 20s. Hang in there!

Oh, Villette...that's hilarious. We went on a long drive yesterday to pick up our daughter at a friend's house (2 hours each way) so I didn't see your post till this morning....sure did put a smile on my face for the day.

It's -26 this morning but with the wind chill it's alot colder....sure do have to bundle son up to go to school. He's not happy to go out in the cold, let me tell you. Can't say that I blame him!

Seriously, it got in the 20's here for almost a week. Hey, don't laugh :D ; this is cold for us here. Anyway, my pygmy date palms look like they're dead now.

They closed the schools in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, which is about 5 minutes from me, but they RARELY close the schools here in Canada unless it's virtually impossible to get to the school. It's terrible. The kids shouldn't have to walk in this cold.

WOW. I don't think I could even leave my house in that kind of weather. I'll be happy to add YOU to the beach picture anytime - that must make you just drool.....:p

That is awful that they dont close the schools. That is dangerous cold weater. I went out yesterday and just walking from My car into a restaurant and grocery store My fingers and hands were burning and red. My ears were sore from the cold too

It's warmed up to 8.8* this morning. I think every school here along the lake is closed today also. Chuck used the snow blower to path out the back yard for our little kids. The doggie door flap had frost on the inside yesterday and was kind of hard for them to open. We have a "garage" over it on the outside so it doesn't get the direct wind and snow. It finally thawed out. Life's just a barrel of flying monkeys around here sometimes.
Our friends, who are living on a sailboat in Panama, called and said they're tired of 90's in the morning when they get up....boohoo...

We're suppose to reach 78 here today and in the 80's the next few days.....thought I'd share the palm trees with ya folks...this is our back yard for the winter months...and of course the beautiful Colorado River sunset

I guess we are having a heat wave here compared to some of you. It was 7 degrees when I got up. I can't get up to check the temp now bec Daisy is asleep on my lap now.

Wow! I have been complaining about all the wind and rain in Miami for this last weekend but we never have to deal with such cold weather... How terrible for you gals and the little furbababies... I took mine out yesterday and they were shivering...
