I believe that the dry season is over with, therefore there aren't that many animals at this particular watering hole.

Anybody else seeing what I'm seeing? Those "shooting stars" are not only in the background but every few minutes something shoots across the pond. It's the middle of the night there right now and everything is still.

OK, I asked on the Africam forum about the white "shooting stars".

They are birds called nightjars - they swoop around catching insects.

No matter when I'm on theres no picture just animal soundsand I know it has to be daylight at 8:00am their time.

Right under the pic it says the time there. Right now it's only 4:46 am.

I know what you mean, I kept checking for days. Finally saw some birds, then today...an ELEPHANT!!!!

Me too!!! The wildes are really frisky this morning, arent' they!!!

Did you see the babies? Wow- the camera is really close up now! I can see their stripes!!!

Africam is sooo cool!

Is it because I have dial-up connection? This is so frustrating to be able to hear all the sounds and noting but a black screen.
