I think the store/breeder could have handled it a lot better then intimidation. If they had approached Willow and said hey we messed up blah blah blah I'd be more inclined to pay asap. However, it wouldn't hurt to make them sweat it a little based on how they've handled it. But that's just me. |

Something sure is fishy here . . .could very well be a SCAM. Be careful Alycia, I'd have for you to pay twice. |

WHat a mess! I dont know beans from apple butter really about this kind of thing. .....But I thought I would put my two cents in to confuse you further.;) :) For one if the breeder wasnt set up to take credit cards the transaction thru the pet store should have never happened. The way I understand it, it was not legal. The breeder recieved the money, she was paid thru the pet store. THe pet store should be going after their friend "the breeder" for returned funds since they didnt even recieve funds from you. Arent they not going after the wrong person? THe breeder then needs to speak to you to get the funds. You bought the dog from her not the pet store right? Sure doesnt help your frozen account, insufficient funds issue at this immediate time but sounds like they have the problem among themselves first. WHos to say they have been calling a number and no one is answering because they werent calling the right number to begin with!! Gosh If I was them I certainly wouldnt want to go to court with that big mess up they started. I hope it resolves soon. I would be very leary trying to resolve it without legal counsel. Sounds fishy and I would be afraid to hand over any money without it. |
I am totally gobsmacked reading all this! Im glad you got to keep your Maddie thou! |
Wow what a crazy situation! i'm glad you are investigating it more! i'm curious to see what happens wed. |
I think payment should be made but also think you are owed an apology. What happened was not your fault and they went about trying to recoup the funds in a very dishonest manner. JMHO |
I understand what everyone is saying, and I called the store owner today. She was NOT nice. Espcially after I told her I had called the bank and they had no record that a NSF check was issued. PLUS she TOLD me that the money WAS deposited into her account....and that 32 days later it was taken back out for insufficient funds?? That doesn't make sense to me. An ACH takes 4 days from beginning to end and that includs the deposit. They can't come back 32 days later and say it was NSF and take the money back, but she claims they did. She is now claiming it wasn't her bank that did it but the check company she goes through. She has promised to show me copies of all of her documentation and I have until Wednesday to either return Maddie, give them the money, or BOTH! She actually asked me for BOTH! And as for not knowing about the charge being on the card, we have just got our second statement in the mail as it was a new cc in November. We have ONLY received two statements: one in December and one the beginning of this month and the first statement I payed the bill and didn't bother looking at transactions. I will NOT make that mistake again. I have gone over both statements and contacted the cc co to find out where this transaction had gone. |
