My sinus has been acting up (just one eye watering) I work for a doctor and I am sure the patients are wondering why I am only 1/2 sad! lol

I have been soooooooo sick, sore throat, fever, my throat was almost raw..................so nasty:(. I finally had to go to the Dr. because it was unbearable:(. My Hubby thankfully was able to help me with the kids off to school, I was not even able to get out of bed:(, I hardly ever get sick but when I do get sick seems like I get it all at once:confused:. Well the doctor gave a zillion medications(which I hate) and I am feeling a little better:thumbup:, but not there quite yet. I really dont like to take medication but in this case I had to.

*knocking on wood* - all in my household are well! Well, except for my youngest - we are dealing with an SI joint that keeps popping out of place and we have to pop it back in. Trying to get him in to see doctor to order physical therapy and fit him for an SI belt. Baseball is going strong and games start end of next month - trying to get this "fixed" before then but have been told it may be something we have to deal with for a couple years til he gets stronger back and abdomen muscles (he'll be 14 next month).

To all of you with the flu, pneumonia, sinus colds - sending you lots of prayers and get well wishes. Stay in this week-end, drink plenty of fluids, take your meds, and just "chill". Hope you are all feeling better by Monday!

V!!! How is your wonderful husband today?? If he's not any better, I wouldn't give him a choice - take him to the doctor!! You are so right - with his illness, he doesn't need to let this go and think he can "self treat" at home. Please keep us posted!!! Sending you lots of hugs and prayers!!

Recuperating from Spinal Surgery....but no flu....:)~~~
 

I had 2 disc removed and fused on 12-21-06, and hopefully doing ok, a tad shaky still but at least I had my flu shot, so no flu here....even though alot of my RV neighbors are down with it, and some for the 2nd time around.......:D

V...I am alive and girl only you would start a thread like this, your the kindest person in the world....I hope your husband is doing better, tell him I really don't feel like coming to Texas today, but I will, if he don't stop worrying the crap out you and go to the doctor....I hate to come over and kick some Texas butt but I will, I might have to bring Big Max with me to help, not up to my normal self, but Max IS.......Thanks a bunch for caring...I just called my doc and told him I need antibotics cause its getting worse & I have to work Monday, and I figured even though I was there Wenesday he would make me come back, but the little s^&t is going home sick with that stomach flu....haha I told him he was going to catch it...Thank God I don't have that too......V let me know how hubby is doing...I have a plane on stand by....:p

I feel so bad for all of you who are so sick.:(

Checking into V's virtual hospital :( been sick since september and have to have surgery in a month and a half. I have nasal polips and I have them in my sinuses too, AND i have a deviated septum :( So I'm extremely congested with a runny nose then a bloody nose and it switches off :thumbdown

Yea it totally sucks. I have to have a 3 hour surgery. But I'm getting a second opinion in a couple of weeks, just to be on the safe side.

Ouch. Did they give you some muscle relaxants and send you to physical therapy? How about some Vicodin? Ask for drugs my friend!

I have 2 bulging discs in my lower back. I also found out in October that I have a slow growing, pea-sized tumor along my spine, which I have to have surgically removed in the summer. The doctors won't know if it's benign until they remove it. I'm taking vicodin to alleviate my lower back pain. I just wish it would get better soon :(

I waited way to long to have my buldging disc removed, I had severe leg pain, down both legs, and suffered for 30 some odd years with it.....I just had surgery 12-21-06 in Las Vegas with a wonderful NeuroSurgeon.....he uses the most up to date techniques.....I'm recovering right now, and will be relieved when this is all healed and I can resume a normal life again.....get your back checked out....with the latest procedures its a snap to get it fixed now....I sure hope the tumor or whatever it is will turn out benign for you......Best Wishes for a speedy recovery......why wait til this summer for the surgery?

Finally getting over a sinus infection. Fought it on my own, but ended up on antibotics. But I am feeling much better. Hope you are all on the mend soon.

I've been seeing doctors for this since July. My back specialist is not recommending surgery just yet because of where the bulges are and the type of surgery that would need to be done. The neurosurgeon that I saw has only recommended surgery to remove the tumor. Right now I really don't WANT to have surgery to fuse my spine. I'm just giving it some time to see if it gets a bit better. I went to PT in July and August and I do my exercises twice a day to strengthen the muscles in my back. I'm also going for acupuncture. I'm improving but the entire process is SO SLOW :( . Also, over the last 2 months, little things have set me back a bit (stress from work and life in general, a back brace that WEAKENED my back) so I'm going to see how I progress over the next few months. My doctor also said that I have a lot in my favor--I'm young--I'll be 32 in a few weeks--and I'm not over weight. Actually, right now, I'm thinner than I've ever been. My goal right now is to continue to get strong enough so that I'm able to move comfortably without taking any medication. I HATE taking pills and I have to take vicodin to manage the pain so that I'm able to do my exercises and increase my strength. So we'll see. I'm trying to think positively but it gets extremely frustrating at times.

I'm feeling "under the weather". Heater is broke in the office at school so we're all having to work in 60 degree temperature. Heater is also out in the cafeteria and that area registered in the 50s. It sucks...woke up with a sore throat yesterday and it got worse throughout the day. Doped up on cold meds last night and this morning, had something red and gross that I hacked up.

Mom's coming into town today...hope I can get my act together before she gets here. Hey, someone pass some more cold meds.

My DH, who had strep throat last week and was starting to feel better, is now coughing again and has a touch of the stomach flu that is going around - I swear, he is bringing home everthing this year! So far, my daughter and I haven't gotten anything major that was really gotten us down! Whew! - Although, the weather which was in the single digits a few days ago, got into the mid 60s for two days and is now only 30 today w/ rain and snow (no snow yet)....so, those who aren't sick, probably will be --- that probably means me! YUCK!

I have Hydocodine and see a PH weekly and I have scellaxin too I am a drug store. this happened yesterday when I got out of the shower. I sneezed and did something to my neck and back. It still hurst really bad

i feel the dreaded cold coming on .. i HATE that feeling... because i know it is coming and there is just nothing i can do about it! lets hope this one is over really fast!

I forgot to add I have lidoderm patches also.....

Okay, I am worried about my DH!

First, he never gets sick - EVER! I know that doesn't seem right, but in all of our years of marriage, he has only had a cold once and I have only seen him throw up (sick at his stomach) maybe three times - and twice were in our younger days and had nothing to do w/ a virus!!!

Anyway, he had strep and took three different meds for it - that he was over it, finished all his meds, but now he is sick again!

He was so sick, he was suppose to work today but he came home like an hour after he left (which he never misses any work - EVER - he is a workaholic) and he has been in bed ALL day!

He is congested w/ a cough and on top of that, he has whatever stomach bug is going around. So, the only time he has moved today was when he had to get up to go to the bathroom. I made him soup, crackers and sprite - hoping he would eat something - but he took one spoonful and some sprite and said he was full - that is it all day!

I hope he feels better! I told him that he will be going to the doctor again (maybe even a different one) on Monday! Poor thing!

Don't know if I count,I haven't got a cold:)
I am suffering bad symptoms from treatment for breast cancer which is causing depression.I have also had ulcerative colitis for 18 years,the predisolene they gave me for that has caused osteoporosis so I keep breaking bones,thankfully none at the moment,but my knee joints are bad.Just been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid,more tablets!
Well as I said I haven't got a cold:D :thumbup:
