Recent Photo Shoots (my career)
 

Hi everyone! I know you guys have wondered where I've been.....well, here's an update on my career-side! I know a few of you have said you enjoy seeing my pictures, so here ya go!

The couple is buying a wall-size portrait of the black & white (with red tie) picture. :)

I am so excited where this career has taken me this past year. I know several of you have followed my journey from news journalist to carriage driver and tourguide, to waitress, almost to be a PetSmart trainer, and then hitting my big break into wedding and portrait photography (which is the career I have wanted for years now). I'm so blessed.

Your pictures are great as always Val! I've been wanting to come to Charleston for the weekend and seeing these pics makes me want to come even more!!

OMG Val, your work is amazing (I'm totally serious -- not just throwing around empty compliments). I wish I would have known you when I got married! Listen, would you ever travel to NY? My sister and her hubby are thinking about having kids soon and if my sister gets pregnant, I'm going to throw her an all time HUGE bridal shower in a wedding hall!! It's going to be very hard for her not having our mom there, so I want to make it extra special for her! I was planning on hiring a professional photographer for the event.

I know I'm jumping ahead of myself here (because she isn't even pregnant yet lolol) :D but I'm seriously interested for when she does become pregnant!

I just love Photography as well, I wish I would have went back to school and did it as my career. I play around with it, but you have what it takes! God I'm so jealous!

Wow!! Those are wonderful. You really have an eye for those "different shots". I especially love the first set. The one with the red tie is so perfect! And the one with the shoes (hers red) is so cute and different! Also love all of the water reflection ones (the first set of pics and the other engagement ones). Great job! You'll go far in that career, I know it!

Wow, you have a true gift for photography, If only you had been around when I got married. I didn't realize you lived in Charleston,SC, I love it there, my family and I were ther back a few years ago after our trip to Myrtle Beach. We only had a couple of days there, but it is really beautiful. We took a haunted walk through town one evening, my boys just loved that. We LOVED Sticky Fingers, so much we ate there twice. We also toured the ships at Yorktown, I believe is what it was called. We hope to get back there again, we really liked it.

i wish you lived closer. i need a good friendly person to shoot a family shot. im tired of having one kids with red crying eyes and one kids who half of his body is int he photo and hes trying to run away and peek into other photo rooms and the other with his fake smile, and then the ones who make my husband feel uncomforable with all his tattoos, we actually had out last photos done at a tattoo conevtion that way my hubby wouldnt feel odd.

YES YES YES! I'd love to come to New York! That would rule. And I'd LOVE to meet you, as I've always hoped I'd have to chance someday to actually meet you! And I could bring Sully...he'd have so much fun playtime, don't you think?

OMG girl you are so talented. Having been engaged and married not too long ago, I can truly appreciate the art. I love how it's very natural, not super posed, fun, and how you capture the details. I wish you the best in your careers. Not sure how it is where you live but wedding industry photographers can make a really good living in CA, each wedding probably earns them anywhere between $5K-10K
