Connie....I wish there were better words that could take away your pain....but you have ALL my prayers your mom sounds SO special... in spite of her pain - she really sounds like a fighter...... Denise said you tried to call me and I'm HOME NOW sweetie - PLEASE try again ok ??? I'm so worried about you and I know you have lots of support here but I just want to hear your voice....:( :( |
Connie, I am so sorry to hear about the pain your mother is enduring right now :( May God grant her the strength to fight through this and may he ease her pain. I will be praying especially for you, I know how hard this must be for you and I am sure the pain you are feeling right now is as great if not greater than what your mother is going through. It is so hard to watch our loved ones suffer when we can do nothing to help them. I wish there was something I could do, some way I could take all of this away for you...if I could do it, I would. Your family is in my prayers daily and you are in my thoughts often. I printed out your Mothers picture (hope you don't mind...) and brought it to our local church here and told them about what she was going through and asked if their prayer chain would pray for her. They said they would and they pray every evening from 8:00 pm until 11:00 pm so you can know many voices are going up towards heaven on her behalf. Big hugs to you! |
We were on this same trip with my mother-in-law a few years ago. All I can add is that if your mom is able, talk to her and see what she wants. My MIL had renal cancer and they wanted her to go thru tests, chemo, and radiation. SHe chose not to,she wanted to feel good enough to enjoy the time she had left. We only had her for 3 more months but they were the most beautiful times we had ever had. It is very hard and nothing will make it easy for you. Just know that she loves you and tell her often how much you love her. Follow your heart! |
Connie I am so sorry to hear about your Mom's pain! I know it makes you hurt for her to see her like this. I pray that Monday they will know exactly what is going on and what they can do to make her more comfortable. We are still praying that she will be healed and restored to health better than she was before! I also pray for your continued strength thru this...And I pray that your knee feels better very soon! Be careful...that ice will get you everytime! Take care my friend. |
Connie, I'm so very very sorry. It is just so terrible to have to watch anyone that we love suffer. It just does not seem fair. I don't have any words good enough, but just want you to know that "I care". You are an angel for all that you are doing. |

still praying lots and lots for your mom and your family......so sorry that she is in pain...:( cancer of any kind is just horrible. 2 of my family members have had it and it was tough on everyone....again i am soo sorry!!! God Bless!! |
Mom is in the hospital having all those awful tests. Judy stayed with her and I went to mom's to get Maddie and Scarlett (Judy's dog) and bring them here so when my hubby gets home, they won't be alone. My mom never complains...no matter how tough it gets, and today has been so hard on her. When we took her this morn, it had snowed and was a -17 wind chill with blowing snow. She has gotten so weak. If only her doctor had done some tests 4 months ago when she went to him because of her pain. He said it's the lipitor and to stop taking it. If he had only checked then. Her oncologist is the biggest grouch I've ever come to know and I'm about ready to slap him up alongside his head. Thanks to everyone here and their well wishes and prayers for my dear mom. My heart is so heavy. |

Connie, I am praying for you and your Mom and your entire family. I know you are going through such a dark time, and your heart is so wounded. I am sorry you have to contend with unsympathetic doctors in addition to everything else. This time last year I was saying goodbye to my precious Dad, and I remember how much it hurt, how utterly exhausting it was, how frustrating to wonder if the right decisions were made, how excruciating to see your loved one in pain...
