Grey's anatomy fued. Dear Friends, I have just read and signed the online petition: "Fire Isaiah Washington from Grey's Anatomy - Udated" hosted on the web by PetitionOnline.com, the free online petition service, at: http://www.PetitionOnline.com/firew246/ I personally agree with what this petition says, and I think you might agree, too. If you can spare a moment, please take a look, and consider signing yourself. Best wishes, christina that page has the bad word on it but i don't think iw should keep on like he has been like kh said at the golden globes he just shouldn't speak in public! i lurv tr knight |
What did he do at the Goden Globes? I heard about something but I have no idea what's going on. |

As far as the petition all of the stars came on Oprah and all of them stated the issue was resolved there were no hard feelings including TR Knight. Until Mr. Knight comes out publicaly and states he has a problem then theres nothing I'm going to do. |
If you are interested, there is a petition below which has many more signatures. Can you imagine how much bigger this story would have been if TR would have called Isaiah the N word? So many more people would have been offended. I guess that's how it goes... :thumbdown |
I don't neccesarily think he should be fired, but what he said was wrong, uncalled for and distgusting. I don't understand why people do and say such hurtfull things sometimes. Even if you don't agree withsome's lifestyle it's uncalled for and wrong to say hateful slurs. I usually LOVE him, but he's turning out to be a real jerk:thumbdown |
well this seemed to have been solved until iw blurted out and totally denied it all at golden globes shame on him. |
I'm just totally bumed cuz I missed the show last night:( he said a bad thing why fire him over it. let him say he is sorry. I bet everyone blew it way out of context anyway. |
but people shouldn't have to tolerate him acting any kind of way he wants and making others of the cast uncomfortable and embarassed to be associated with him jmho...btw i just found this http://www.etonline.com/celebrities/...430/index.html i have s1 & s2 and so far s3 on dvd george's dad dies last night they took him off life support and christina confessed to george her dad died when she was 9 |
its on again tonight . |

http://televisionista.blogspot.com/2...pics-will.html i found this to about upcoming shows. i have been dvd'ing s3 |
I love the dynamics of the show. All of the characters are an important part of that. We all tend to say things that we wish we had not said at some time in our lives. The evil tongue, once it lashes out, there is no taking it back. I hope that these issues that the cast are having can be resolved without losing anyone. Teri:animal-pa |

I personally won't sign because I think it's horrible to be responsible for someone losing their job. We only know what the media says, and we don't know the whole story. I think it's up to his employers as to how they want to deal with the kind of discrimination he exhibits towards his colleague. Plenty of people have shown intolerance towards certain races, religions, and lifestyles, but you know what, we are in America and it's freedom of speech. I'm not defending him because I personally don't really llike him, but just being the devils advocate. |

I agree 100% and I think the petition is a little extreme. I also won't sign it. Although I don't think it's right that he said what he said - worse things happen every second of every day and I don't think it's something that someone should lose their job over. America is so caught up in celebrities, it's ridiculous - the media focuses on the bad and rarely shows you the good side of the story, so take what you see with a grain of salt. |

I, personally, love IW. I don't love what he said. Being a black woman, I can understand how offensive these types of terms are to a group of people. I also hated the fact that Michael Richards repeatedly said the "N" word without ever realizing he shouldn't. However, I won't stop watching Seinfeld, nor will I stop watching Grey's Anatomy. Same way we all had to get over Richards' mistake, we'll have to get over Washington's. |

I just don't get the concept of a petition to get someone fired... JMO, but this seems ridiculous to me. He does not work in the Public Sector, television is private industry. Regardless of my personal view of what he did, it's not up to me or the general public to determine whether or not he is fired. First, we weren't there and we are not the people directly affected. Second, as I stated before, this is a private industry. Third, where does this kind of thing end. Let's say you're a clerk in a retail shop and say something that a customer takes offense to. Should they then go online and petition for you to be fired??? Where does something like this end. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and if you believe you should sign this, go for it, personally, I have an issue with the principle at work here. Not meaning to offend, just stating my thoughts.:) |

anyways, if a clerk working in a public place and said something like that to another employee or customer there would definately be a problem ! everyday people get fired every day over things like this and even sued or worse i don't celebs should be treated any different than anyone else...even though they are! i don't think the cast of grey's should have to endure working with someone who shows that kind of behaviour no excuse for it at all! the show will suffer and people will continue to rant about it until something is done a ohh i'm sorry just doesn't seem to get it for me espically when you start it all back up then totally deny the whole thing. but as things would have it we can all just agree to disagree i guess. |

He said it. He denied it. He forced TR out of the closet. TR said he said it. He said it again. What does it have to do with "not knowing the whole story"? Peters, I noticed I didn't post the link to the other petition I was talking about. http://www.petitiononline.com/at343sh7/petition.html |

People on this forum have described WAY worse problems - like knowing someone who is starving their yorkie puppy to keep them small. Why don't you go sign a petition to remove that dog from that home? At least that's affecting the outcome of life or death of a living, breathing creature and I don't see anyone doing that. It's a nation of free speech - yes it was hurtful to the person it was directed at, but this is blown WAY out of proportion. My point is, don't get your panties in a wad over something that none of us can change. The petition may make you feel better, but it's not going to force someone to make a decision they weren't already decided on. If you want to expend your energy on this, that's your prerogotive. I just feel that there are more important things that our energy could be put to good use on, ya know? As far as the ratings of the show - it will probably increase them and draw more people to watch it. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, that was certainly not my intention. I am just stating my honest opinion. |
