So Cold! Well my heaters broke, my house is freezing so Im pretty much staying huddled on the couch(with the hubby and 3 doggies) in front of one of those big ceramic room heaters and under a bunch of blankets. So I just wanted to let ya'll know I wont be on the computer much this weekend- way too cold in the room where my computer is!! YIKES lol So anyone trying to get ahold of me in pms or emails, I'll venture back to the computer room as soon as its a bit warmer :) Thank goodness it doesnt get cold in Texas very often, us weeneys dont know how to handle it :D |

Thanks so much :) |
Do what we do: Rub noses! Hope your heater gets fixed. That sucks. I won't even make fun of you. You can bet the inside of our house isn't 40 or 50 or even 65! |

I think I know what it must feel like in a Alaska now, lol. Im sitting here in my computer room with a 2 layers of socks, shoes, (pants and sweater of course) ski coat, hat, and gloves on --------> :cold smil . Its like the artic in here! Chloe has on a sweater and jacket too, she looks like a little ski bunny :bunny: |
Wish I could take pictures today. The trees and ground are covered with ice. It was supposed to get up to 38 degrees by 5:00 pm today, but it's 4:30 and it's 22. It's going to have to come one heck of a heat wave really quick!! My kids took all the cameras to Wolf Creek to go skiing. It was 4 degrees there this morning! The only white I like on the ground is the sand on Florida beaches!! |

Well thermastat says its 42 degree in my room, and since I'm not used to that this is freezing for me, especially inside a house. Im sure its a lot colder outside becuase we have icicles all over our trees. OKay Im seriously getting off the computer now and making some hot chocolate. I hope everyone stays warm this week, see ya'll later  |
Be Safe!! Been watching the weather channel :cold smil :cold smil :cold smil ..... you gals (& guys) in TX and OK are really getting it bad.... not to mention KS!!! Hope that you all are safe and sound. Please keep warm and if you aren't able to, don't hesitate to find a place where you can ( lots of hotels & motels will accept little dogs... and I would think that in a emergency, it wouldn't be questioned at a lot of places). ALSO... stay away from weak trees..... and keep the fur babies away, too! We don't need no accidents! Take Care!!! Will be thinking of Y'all! :ghug: It is raining in KY right now.... but it is suppose to get cold next week. Brrrr.... I am getting out the hats and mittens! |

That sucks Shana!:( I hope you get your heater fixed soon! :ghug: |
Brrrrrr, 42 degrees is really cold in the house! Hope your heater gets fixed soon! |
I hope it gets fixed soon! My heater hasn't been working too well either. I've been bundled under blankets and I've had on tons of layers. I hope your heater works soon. The cold weather seems to be EVERYWHERE! It got to the low 20s here last night. It's only in the mid 40s now. That is not normal!! |
aww that sucks!! I hope you get it fixed soon thats terrible! I want snoww!!:D |
Aw man, SO not a good time for your heater to be busted! Here in Brenham, TX it's a wet, nasty 38 (with a wind chill of 29) and yes, the heater's been running in this house all day and my feet are still cold. Wondering when the roads are going to get icy. It can wait one more day because I'm off work tomorrow anyway..... what I need is a bad icy road day to keep me home from work on Tuesday too! I commute to College Station every day and will not drive those bad roads in ice. We'll see what it does. I can't believe it's still around 70 degrees in Houston! That's only an hour or so away from me. Weird! |
Wait, I just read again what Villette said.... it's 40-50 in Houston? Weather.com says it's still about 70. Must be really different in different areas of Houston. |
37 here in Austin - heater cranked up - I've got on an undershirt, a sweatshirt, cordoury pants, socks, boots, and I am COLD! Shana, I would be shaking uncontrollable if it were 42 in the house!!! I know, they keep saying the ice is coming, but not yet! |
cold I live in League city it has been upper 70's all day, I here it is coming. |
Oh We absolutely cant have that. People cold like that. You all Okay there? Really? We need to know. If you live in the USA Everyone should have a furnace. I dont care if you live in california. JMO but take it.. |
Aahhh...sweet memories! We just went through the other big ice storm before the holidays...7 days without power is no fun believe me! I can relate to the temp in your house...the lowest it got in ours was 39  We were sitting there freezing and my husband asked me if we had anymore blankets, I said no and gave him mine...I had his big bathrobe on so I was o.k. Well, I sat there and started laughing...he asked what I was laughing at...I said, that 6 foot tall stack of quilts on that chair in the corner! We collect antique quilts and at the present time I have about 62 of them and probably another 20 crib and youth quilts. There we sat for, I don't know how long, freezing our froobies off and we had a house full of quilts! And I'm not even blonde..... Good luck to you guys...so far all we've had is rain but nothing frozen like they predicted :xfingers: even though we have a chance for some ice tonight it's not supposed to be much this time. |
No offense but If my family was truly freezing. I would have burnt quilts and also provided them for warm. But thats just me..... And say what people dont like to hear. Do I like being unpopular? Not really. But I do what is necessary. |

Hey Shana, sorry you are so cold, wish I could send you some Georgia winter -- it was 71 here in Rome. Suggestion -- get NEKKED under 'dem covers. Body heat will keep you warmer --not only that it might be more fun :) |
Shana, please donate some of your cold weather here, because I have the run the AC! |
I was about to do my typical roll my eyes "how cold can it be in texas???" at your post being in frozen Canada but man that is cold in your house. Brrrrrrrrrr...... Snuggle with the boxer, they are warm. |
I know what you mean, 30 here in Fort Hood. My husband has been off work (Army has a four day weekend:D )since friday and wont go back to work till tuesday, and we decided to just stay home this long weekend:D We are supposed to get freezing rain I think  just to think friday was in the 70's. Sorry you are so cold, I hope you get your heater fixed soon:(. Can't be colder than Korea though, and I didn't have a car there:( |
Hope you're staying warm Shana. |
