For the OLD timers here - and I don't mean AGE I just spent an hour reading thru some of my 1st threads from back when I 1st joined this site - wow do they bring back memories !! :D :D :D There were some names I miss and it got me wondering where some of those people went to -:( Bettyeanne is STILL here I'm glad to say and she posted in lots of my first threads - what a nice woman lol !! I remember this site when there was about 10 members...maybe more... but it was a small group back then and look at it now - holy cow - I never would have thunk it. That was kind of fun....I REALLY need to be cleaning but looking at old threads was way more fun than cleaning - Since we have so many NEW people here you probably can't relate to this but if you search back into the site there is a post on practically every subject here and some drop down hilarious threads too. When I want to get a 'feel' for someone I always do a sneak search on their user name to see how they post - or sometimes I can't remember something and use the search function to refresh my memory - it's a pretty cool tool. ok - done rambling. Anyone got funny FIRST posts they want to share ??? |

I don't remember when the site started..... am I an "old-timer"?? Of course, I have no where near your 20K+ posts, Villette, but only because I would get fired if I took the time to post to everything I wanted to. I mostly just get to read occasionally during work and post every once in a while when something really catches my fancy! |

I dont know if I would be considered an old timer either but.... just today I was searching through something and came across a few threads that I had posted in about a year ago. It brought back some good memories just like you had mentioned, I miss some of the people that I used to talk to that arent around anymore. |

I'm not sure if I'm considered an "old timer" since I don't have many posts. I've been a member since April of 2005 but I'm more of a reader than a poster unless I get passionate about something, hehe :D . Anyway, I was thinking about the board I belonged to prior to finding this one that is no longer up. Shockingly we found out it was run by some pretty unethical people :eek: . I know Villette was a member of direct, anyone else? I used a different name then. Some of those members came here but it took me a while since I was still having surgeries then. Bentley was a puppy then, and now he's 3 years old! |

I've been around a while. I've seen people come and I've seen people go. Some I miss and some I don't. Seen some really good threads on here...funny ones, one that pissed you off and some that made you cry. Some were really interesting and some bored you to death. I've seen yorkies in all shapes, sizes and colors. Though I don't come around much anymore, this place will always be a second home to me. I've met some wonderful people here that I am really close to. But the main thing...Where else can you go to get your daily yorkie fix? |
