Opening Night!
 
Hey all!!

Some of you might remember back in September/October I posted about my school's production of Fiddler On the Roof. and I got cast as Yente the matchmaker.

Well....It's opening night!! I can't even believe it's finally here. I really didn't think it would work, I'm still a bit nervous, but it all came together about 2 days ago. I'm so excited!! My friend Emily is playing the lead, Tzietle, tonight. Wish us luck! :p

i wish you the best of luck and i want to congratualte you on your talent, it takes true passion and commitment to get up there and perform like that, when you are up there just know that you are on your way to broadway and all of us yters will come and support you.

Thank you so much everyone! First show - down. 2 more to go. :D It was really really fun. The audiance was into it, which is always a great thing. There's one line I have "What grandmother? My grandfather came to me from the grave and told me that her [Golde's] grandmother was a.....BIG LIAR!" and I got a huge laugh. For which I was happy. :)

It was a great night. My whole family is coming tomorrow. My mom's going to video tape it...so if anyone wants to see some videos, let me know.

I love Fiddler On the Roof! I wish I were close enough to catch one of the shows or rich enough to hop a plane, but alas, I'm not so I'll just have to hang on your every word. Please give details about how the performances. :(

Hey guys. Just wanted to let you know that opening night went wonderfully. One of my lines got a huge laugh. :) Everyone is talking very highly of the show.

and we found out today in school that Governor Corzine was there last night. Wow!

Actually, the first time I saw it in full was when I rented the DVD so I could figure out the story. I saw it when my school did it YEARS ago (before I went there) but all I remembered was the part where the fiddler was standing on the roof. Go figure. :p

as a side note - I've got another audition coming up in a few weeks. I'll be trying out for a community show of the stage show of High School Musical (I despise the movie, but I've heard the stage show is better ;))

I've got a video...but personally I hate it (I hate myself anyway haha). My mom might be making a new one tonight. If she does, I'll post that. If she doesn't, I'll suck it up and post the one I have.

So yesterday was the last day of Fiddler on the Roof. The last few months have been really fun, and I can't believe it's actually over! I have 2 videos of the show (with the 2 different casts) and some pictures to share. :)

1. Jessica (Tzietel) and Me (Yente)
2. Emily, Jessica, and me outside of Applebee's
3. Matt and Nick...dancing in Applebees
4. Everyone at our table!

PS - I'm trying to upload the videos to my computer now. So those might take a little while.
