When are you too old for??? lowrider jeans?? and shopping in the junior section???:D :D I know I sound silly but I am going nuts with this...... It just seems like something is not right, most of my friends are my age and feel the same way:D I did stop wearing short shorts 2 years ago, and started wearing mostly crapis pants(I hope I spelled it right) for the summer, but now I feel alittle funny shopping in the junior section yet not comfortable shopping in the womens section either , Can someone advice me on this? or does any one share some of my feelings on this? I was going to ask you all to guess my age but I rather not:D What if you guys guess much older than what I really am:questione :cry8: |

I shop in both jr and womens & I'm pretty sure I'm older than you :p do whatever you feel comfortable in. There's no law that says you have to change clothing styles with age. |

Well I am 42 and feel I am too old for low riders. I mainly shop in the womens but do find some things in Juniors that I buy |
I don't do low riders - but I do look for a mid-rise. I have a hard enough time finding pants to fit cause I have a small waist and a round rear - so whatever clothing section I can find them to fit is where I buy. I don't like to see hanging flesh, or "cracks" no matter what age you are!! |

Thanks guys for all your replies:D I surely feel confused but I do feel comfortable in some junior clothes but I still wonder:confused: I guess I see too many women that just dont look "right" in those younger clothes and I just get worried about me looking like that:p I dont like "stuff" hanging out either:eek: :D |
:p Sounds like everyone is pretty much in agreement here! It's extremely hard for me to find clothes that fit because I am so short and Petite Departments with good selections are hard to find. If I find jeans that are comfortable, I buy them regardless of the department. Shirts/sweaters/jackets are a whole different story! If they don't fit well, I am absolutely miserable!! :) I think it has a lot more to do with shape than age. I saw a really heavy lady the other day and she was wearing lowriders and one of those little T's that shows your bellybutton if you raise your arms. I am not lying, it made me gag!! About 6-8" of her fat belly was literally hanging out!! Ewwwww!! |

About 2 years ago she was outside getting her mail in her ROBE and nothing under it and totally flashed my husband - he's a MAN and he even gagged lol !! I think as far as 'fashion' the look that I can't stand is these girls with their thongs way above the jean line - that's just plain tacky looking. I can see a tiny bit but some girls show the whole thing - I do not need to see that when I'm out - girls showing their butts is just SO pathetic and attention seeking |

LOL......I think that just because they make it in a larger size doesn't mean you should wear it:D I mean if it looks nice and you feel good in it, go for it:thumbup: but if it's just making people sick :thumbdown |
3 Attachment(s) I am sure I have shared pics of myself before:rolleyes: but here I am with my jeans and I guess what I normally wear:D |
I am 54 and a size 4. It is very difficult to find pants in misses that fit some don't even go down to size 4. I usually but jeans like DKNY and Calvin klein because they fit. I never go for the low waist and wear age appropriate tops. I use to shop in Juniors ubtil the low low rise and skin tight short tops came into style. Generally I feel if I have to ask is this age approprite then it probably isn't LOL |

 Oh, that is tooo funny! I would have loved to have seen the expression on his face. When I pointed out the lady to Patrick, he just said "OMG"!!! :) Don't even get me started on thongs!! Those things way above jeans just looks so nasty! Patrick calls them "Fanny Floss"!!! ;) |
