There's a hot springs outside of Fairbanks where people go from all over the world to see them in a resort setting. The problem is, there's no guarantee that they'll be out when the sky is clear.
I'll bet Kimberly's seen GREAT ones. The farther north you go, the better. | I am going to have to look up that resort - I am set on making a trip up there soon - okay, before I die anyway!
We have friends that caravan in their RVs to Alaska each year (they all spend pretty much the whole summer there - course, I think they said it was a two week trip in the RVs to get there - that is w/ their sight seeing) - I have seen some great pictures and heard wonderful stories of their trips. Once they get there, they spread out and then meet back to caravan back home - one family works at some camp up there, while the others venture around sight seeing (I think one family has relatives that lives up there, somewhere).
Man! I want to go up there soooo bad! I have never been, but I told my DH that I would probably really love living there - he said I would have to start drinking beer????!!! --- he said that every show you seen that is "set" in Alaska, everyone is at the local bar drinking! Is that true Mike??!! ;) jk! |
