2 new additions today............
 

not what you think,
they dont have fur,
they are brother and sister,
a little boy we had for 2 years as a foster child, 3 months ago he went home to his mommy who did it again, for the 4th time, he is back in care at my house....
this time his sister came with him to keep them together. anthony is 4 years old and has many problems, including asthma, and Klinefelters syndrome .

when we took him home 3 months ago, my van was loaded from top to bottom with all his clothes and toys that he accumulated over the years, . he and his sister each came back today with 2 outfits each 1 pair of sneakers and a coat.
usually we are called days or weeks before a placement and can plan to shop.
we got the call today and an hour or so later they were here.
as some of you know, we are buying a house. settlement is feb 23rd
all of our money is tied up in that and keeping this house going yet and food on the table.
Knowing all this I couldnt say no I cant take them..

..so here I have 2 little children ages 4 and 8 with no clothes.....I put an ad on freecycle for some, but no luck yet.......
so if you can, keep them in your prayers I know it will all work out somehow :)
I will get some pics tomorrow of everyone and the furbabies....the little girl is afraid of them so we have to take this slow with her.......

Also try looking on craigslist.org. They have both a free and wanted section, that maybe you should check out.

Ahhh...bless your heart! I'm so glad those precious little children are in a loving home! My suggestion as to needing clothes would be to call around to churches in your area with your story. I think you'd find many are willing to help!

What sizes do they need? I may have some boy clothes. Surely lots more mothers on here with young kids have clothes their children have outgrown too.

I will try churches tomorrow.

I did pick up a coat for him from a freecycler ...the one he had on was too many sizes too big
( not the one i sent with him when he left)

They can't get their clothes for you and why in the heck has he been put back in a situation wherein it's happened for the 4th time!!!!! At what point do they stop sending him back, by doing so I say they are just as abusive as his mom and need to be held just as accountable.

I don't know if I have any 5's but I'm going to look in the morning. I don't have daughters so I can't help there. I think you should put a thread in the garage sale section on this site asking if anyone has any clothes too.

I did ask why he left here with so much and this is all i get, he said....it doesnt matter how much they have they only have to send a little...I think thats stupid considering how much clothing and toys he accumulated while he was here for 2 years.....

I dont know if she will be able to get them back again this time...I only care for these kids, I have no say in anything.

I don't have children at home anymore, but I'd be willing to go shopping. Tons of stuff on sale and clearance right now. If you PM me your address, I'll see what I can get together today and out to you.....

I have 2 boys ages 10 & 16..I might have some clothes that my 10 yr old out grew. When I get home I will look in his closet and see what he has.
If you would have caught me a month ago (just moved) I would have had tons of small boy clothes but I already donated to the Salvation Army.

how about checking garage sales... sometimes you can find clothes for .25 a piece in good condition.. especially at those ages... or salvation army?

Congratulations on your new additions! We were foster parents for specialized teenage girls for many years. When we got a girl that didn't have anything we would get a clothing voucher from the state to take them shopping and get what they needed. Do you have that program there?

I will check into that clothing voucher, I have to call the case worker this morning with some other questions.... thank you all for your ideas :)

Wow, what a great person you are!!! I hope that woman never gets those children back. I wish I could help, but I don't have children yet, and my little brother isn't so little anymore - he's 18, so I doubt my mom still has small clothes.

I just got off the phone with the case worker hah....since they were in care before and got clothing vouchers they cant give me one this time.....
thats just great..im off to call churches now see if they can help a little

When was the last voucher given? Sometimes when they are returned to care long after the first voucher and their size has changed a great deal they will issue another one. Maybe you can request an emergency voucher or an advance on their clothing allowance for the month?

I will ask, but she said they wont do it.....he just left my house 3 months ago, he still wears the same size... I told her if i had known this I wouldnt have sent everything with him, she said ( and I knew this) I have to send everything with them when they leave that they came with and what we bought for them...I had a teenager once that when she left it took 3 van loads to move her..............

I have an 11 yr old brother and a 8 yr old sister and my sister is in clothes larger than her age group...so I will ask my mom if she has any 7/8 that she can give me to send to you! My daughter is in 7's so I don't think I have anything that would fit.

Boys clothes I have LOTS of! I have 3 boys ages 5,3, and 20 months. What size boys clothes and I will see if I have any I can send ya!

I will look and see what I have, but I got rid of most of my girls smaller things. What you are doing for these children is just priceless! Bless you hun!

I went through all the clothes I have and I do not have anything for winterwear in a size 5. Lots of shorts and tanks. I'm SO SORRY! I thought for sure I had some pants but they are all size 4.:(

willow..that would be great...anthony wears a size 5 or 6 would work, ill just use a belt on the pants if need be....shirts doesnt matter he can wear a 5 or 6

i have ads on freeecycle and angel help..so far have received for anthony:
2 pair of jeans, 2 shirts, 1 pjs and a coat

for stephanie:
robe, slippers, pjs, 2 shirts..... ( she really was sad she didnt have her pjs
1st night here) :(

I hope to get pics later tonight of all the skin and fur babies, after we get home from our daughters house........... its been busy havnt had picture taking time lol
stephanie is ok with them now, it only took a little while, we was bitten by a dog years ago and was scared of mine, but its all ok now :)

anthony is sharing my little guys clothes but anthony is so thin, most fall right off ...we are making do with what we have...and every little bit helps :)

They are doing pretty good, for the most part they all get along..just normal kid stuff.

I have boys too....6 and 10. Well the younger one has just moved sizes....I was complaining yesterday that he must have grown a size over the holiday....LOL...just like me..:(..LOL....So, I am sorting today...just by chance. So, send me your mailing address....and when I find size 5 or 6 stuff, I will send it to you. I needed to sort anyway, and this works perfectly.

When my daughter got married to a older man who had two children and moved into the apartment my hubby built on to the side of are house....These little ones had nothing that would fit them and the ones that would was so nasty I threw them out. My daughter came to me because they need school clothes...at that time my son was 15 who needed thing too....BUT I couldn\'t let my grandkids go without so cc brought everthing they needed.

I would like to help to if you would pm with your addy and the size they need I will do what I can to help.
