Oh, the poor baby!!! I hope she get down safely. I am praying for her as a type. |
Have you tried SPCA or Animal Control? How about going back to the fire station, telling them it's been 2 days now with no food or water, surely someone has a heart there... |
hmmmm./. how tall is this tree? Have you tried wetting the bottom of the tree.... or maybe doing a sprinkle or 2 up towards the sky to where it wets her slightly but not scares her? Maybe that way she will look for cover down ? |
Hey there - I know you must have her down by now - can you finish the story cause I'm feeling a bit left out :( :( :( JUST kidding :) :) but I'd love to hear how she came down - I had a cat that did this all the time and it was always ME climbing the trees and ladders to the roof...he liked heights but then was clueless as to how to come down - |
4 Attachment(s) We just got her out about an hour ago. I love my neighbor! (Not the same neighbor that has the tree that Kona was stuck in). I asked to borrow his 30-foot ladder this AM, as the 20 foot was not long enough. He immediately says, "let me get my shoes and help you." Turns out he was a Ranger in the Military in the Philippines, (Who knew) and is used to climbing whatever he needed to. The man is in his 50's, and just went for it like he was in his 20's. Anyway, Kona is in our arms again, and I cannot be more thrilled! Here is a few pics of the rescue, he loaned me his camera as mine is still at my parent's at the beach. He thinks she was up 40 + feet 1. Look right in the center, you can see her ears, just barely. The branches are much further apart then they appear. 2. My neighbor making his way up the tree standing on a 30-foot ladder, and then climbed the remainder of the way. 3. Pool net trying to get her to jump in ~ yeah right 4. The rescue YEAH WHO! |
I am so glad to see your post!:cheer: Now, Kona, you better not go for it again, I think nice Mr. Neighbor has his limits! LOL |
Yippeeeeee! I'm so glad she's out of that tree now. |
thank goodness he is out! Glad to hear this...... |
Yay, for Kona being safe at home :) :bravo: And thanks to your nice neighbor :good job: |
HOLY COW Kona moved in up there:eek:   - you just got her down ??? Poor baby - you must have gone nuts not being able to get her... just a word of caution so it doesn't happen again - you may want to put some boards on the tree down low so she can't do it again - my cat went up on my apartment roof 3 times and I had to get a ladder and connect to the roof via a tree at the time and it was some scary stuff - he didn't quite learn his lesson the 1st time you know what I mean ?? GREAT pictures by the way - You had your very own hero climbing that tree for you. |
Amazing ending! I'm so happy she's safe. What a wonderful neighbor.  |
YEAH!! :yay_jump: so glad she is out of that tree...I know you were worried about her! Now you don't have to "tree sit" anymore :D |
