What was your Favorite Christmas Present and Why...

Mine? Besides my annual favorite gift, watching the reactions to the gifts I gave... (especially my neice & nephew).

1. A coffee maker!!! I've been living off of instant coffee for years! Just never got around to buying my own. My sister & family got me a coffee maker that make one travel mug full of coffee from Starbucks! - Just love it! I finally can get a great cup of coffee!

2. My BIL got me a digital picture book from Brookstone! It's about the size of a man's wallet and can hold up to 500 pictures!!! Talk about the ultimate Jazzie & Jewel brag book! No one is safe from being forced to see my girls now!

What's your favorite(s)? and why?

I got a YT calendar!

Oh, and a video ipod. I never thought I'd want one, but I can't stop playing with it. I pity the poor fool who bumps into me and asks to see a picture of my Yorkie. It holds 7,500!

I think the best gift was BEING HOME on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. Usually we are traveling to Michigan or New York on Christmas..... this year the kids came here on Dec 9th for Christmas.
It was so relaxing and serene...... a great way to think about the reason for the season.
*My hubby DID buy me a great warm coat for Christmas..... If it stops raining, I may take the furkids out for a walk in it this morning.:animal36

My Husband got me Diamand earring that He knew I wanted that were nice. The nicest gift however was a glass vase he picked out on his own with glass flowers. Also My 6 yr old Daughter got us her 1st gifts in her schools secret santas. She got me a picture frame. It was really cute and had Moms little angel on it

eeewwww ..instant coffee ??? You are a BRAVE woman !! :eek: I'm a freak about my coffee & couldn't live without my coffee maker - I even have a backup in case mine breaks down one morning lol

I'd have to say my fav gift was a Gift Card to Sephora - my family does mostly just the kids at Christmas ....so when a friend gave me the Gift C:) ard the day before I just wanted to jump up and down ....whoooo - hooo - new makeup here I come

it made me feel so bad hearing it took him 3 tries to get it - bad weather - no parking and trying to shop during the Christmas rush made it even more special...what a good friend he is. :)

Wow Vee - now that is a friend - a Sephora gift card!!! LOL...about the coffee maker - I'm the same way!! This was my first Christmas with Ruby and it was a "Ruby Christmas" - I loved it - too many things to have a favorite though.

I AGREE He's an awesome person....I joke and say he's my sugar daddy without the sugar ;) lol - but his friendship means alot to me - It was a total surprise & I can't wait to shop :D

and I bet little Ruby had a blast on her very first Christmas - She's such a little doll and I hope her mommy took lots of pictures

My second Yorkie (Sadie) was suppose to be my Christmas present -- and she is definately the best! But..... DH decided she was the whole family's gift because we all love her and the other dogs so much. So, I still got presents! Yea! What a spoiled brat I am! My favorite of them...... I can't decide......maybe the great clothes, maybe the Andis blow dryer on a stand for grooming the pups, maybe the robe, maybe the Yankee Candle gifts --- I love them all. I think the best moments of the day were watching my youngest open his gifts -- he is 15 but seemed so genuninely delighted with each gift it brought back memories of when my 3 were all little. Nothing like wide-eyed genuine delight!

My favorite gift was the gift certificate my parents gave hubby and me to the movies!! AND they said that is the first part of the gift...second half of the gift is they are going to babysit for us so we can go!

Favorite gift from my hubby and kids was my blender.

This is tough, cause I got some great stuff. But, my mom got me the base Nativity Set made by Willow. I have wanted it for years!!! It is so beautiful and I just love it.

Coming in a close second is the doggie dremmel to do Sissy's nails!!

i got some great stuff also. I got the mother daughter willow keepsake box, mother daughter willow plaque and stand, scented candle, slippers, ultra soft white throw blanket and a new wedding band.

my favorites was the mother daughter stuff because they were from my wonderful children and then the wedding band from my wonderful husband.
Just FYI..i bought him a new wedding band also .:)

My hubby & I went to Flordia...Came back Christmas eve,I had a ball.


My hubby is looking in to get me a Chevy HHR :D :D

But the best present was having my daughter and her family.....My son & hubby here at home with me. What more could a girl want?

my favorite gift opened was my daughters baby alive, hey you didnt say it had to be my gift did you? but that thing is entertaining. she even burps and stuff, its neat but the kids toys by far were the funnest.

This was such a great Christmas. I got a new Casio Exilim 7.2mp camera. My first camera was a 1.3mp, and I've been using a 2.1 mp since that other one broke. I was soooo excited. My bf's mom also got me a $200 gift certificate to my favorite hair salon (they are expensive). And...when my bf's parents found out about how Stanley was in the hospital..they came up to me gave me a $200 dollar check to help pay for Stanley, hugged me and said Merry Christmas. I was so grateful and didn't wan tto take it but they insisted and said Stanley was like their own dog. I hope everyone's Christmases were wonderful!

My husband hates to shop so most Christmas's I get a GC for Red Lobster. This year I got a generous goft cetificate for My favorite restaurant Wildfire and money that said "Here's your dog" It is enough to get pretty much any Yorkie I want!! Niow I have to find the perfect one for me! His brother passed away in October suddenly and left him some money, and I was pretty close with his brother so he said Dale would want me to get my dog, ( he had a Yorkie that died 2 years ago). So this new baby will be in memory of my BIL.

My hubby got me a new right hand diamond ring and this new Coach purse I have had my eyes ion for a few monthes now! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

And my MIL got me a new set of pots and pans! YAY! My ones I had been using are sooo old and sooo crappy, that I never wanted to cook! Now I want to cook!!!!! LOL!

I can't choose!!! My three favorite presents are all very very very special to me. I'll just talk about those 3. :)

1. a ticket to see Kristin Chenoweth in concert. This present is one of the greatest things i've ever recieved. I've wanted to see Kristin live for such a long time. I actually cried when I got it, if that gives any idea of how much it meant to me.

2. Tickets to see Hairspray on January 6th. I've wanted to see Hairspray for nearly a year, so I'm thrilled that I'm finally going to be able to. and not just that, the ENTIRE family is coming. My dad can't stand the city. I've never seen a show with him, but I always ask him to come because I really love theatre and I want to share that with him. So the fact that he's coming to this show is special in itself.

3. My mom and I are flying to LA in June to see Wicked. I know, insane you must be thinking. But I'm looking forward to just having time with me and my mom. just the two of us, it'll be a blast. and plus, it's Wicked. The show that boosted my love of theatre. and it's my favorite cast. Does it get much better? I think not.

So those are my favorite presents. This was a wonderful Christmas.

My favorite gift by far is my mini horse Blaze. I got some other great stuff too but how could a horse not be my favorite. LOL!!:)

I've always wanted a horse. but I've given up on asking, because I know they're never going to get me one. I'll just have to buy one myself when I'm older. :p

hmm Diamond earrings from my uncle, well he's not really my uncle but I call him that because he's best friends with my stepfather and also my godmother's b/f, which is also like my aunt. lol

Also a digital camera from my mom, and I'm loving this necklace my mom gave me this xmas. It's white gold with a heart with diamonds in it, and it's thin just how I like it. It's very pretty! Oh one more thing I loved this ring my dad gave me when I was 8. I treasured it so much because he would always just give my mother the money to buy me gifts but that one he specially picked for me. I always wore it till it didn't fit anymore.

I got very spoiled this Christmas! This is the first year in the 6 years that I've been with my bf that I was able to spend the entire Christmas day with my bf's family. They had a stocking with my name filled with goodies...I had a couple of favorite gifts... my bf and I got a beautiful down comforter for our bed (it gets pretty cold where we live). My bf's sister loves all Juicy Couture stuff and they wanted to get me started with some Juicy stuff - so they got me one of the charm necklaces and 2 charms to go with it. One charm is of a little yorkie in a juicy bag and the other is a whistle since they I use one at work...

My all time favorite gift was being able to spend 4 nights alone with my bf in Vegas. We took each other as our gift - it was so nice to be able to spend the quality time together.

The best gift I ever get is seeing my kids eyes light up and their excitement with every present they open. :wub:

I had 2 favorite gifts, I got a Coach bag that i had been eyeing since September and I also got a Coach watch!! What a awsome surprise that was!! But it is always great to watch what the others get and how they react!

My fave was the dig picture frame from my hubby and the new ann wedding ring :)

Wow! It's great that all of you got gifts that are special to you but the reason I started this thread was to read the "Why" part and it's so worth it! No matter what the gift was each of you have your own special story on why the gift meant so much to you.

Some of you are making memories with your loved ones, some of you are remembering Christmas long past. Some of you are planning for the future and some are living in the now.

No matter how commercial Christmas has become, gift giving and receiving is a way to say thank you, I love you, I honor you, I appreciate you and much more.

So I want to say "Thank you for your gift" in sharing your stories here on this thread.
