Warning about Internet Explorer 7 If you upgrade to IE 7 you cannot run Jave script. They no longer support it. |
Good Post. There are a lot of applications having problems with IE 7. |
I upgraded to the new versions and had so many problems that I had to restore it to earlier configuration. Don't upgrade it is full of bugs! |
yeah and like its hard like for me i do alot of html and coding and i cant view source on IE7. .grr its organized yes, but its sooooo problamatic with different applications |
hhmmmm....odd I'm a java script junky and can see the script affect on the sites I've created - in IE7 ?? |
i don't really do java, but i do html and other stuff, i design my own websites, and i'm having no problems whatsoever (at least yet, i've been using it for a few weeks now). its very organized... i can still view source though, it's real easy.. i like it better because instead of having tons of windows on the bottom, everything is just tabbed for my convenience. ;) i like it so far :) |
hmmmm i haven't upgraded yet..maybe i won't now. |
The tabs drive me crazy. Definitely not a tab person |
Not sure exactly how it all works or why some of you aren't having problems. My sister upgraded and now she can't get to her game website Pogo. It tells her she needs Java , and when she tries to download it, she can't. Then I got to reading about it on the MS website, and it says their license to run it runs out at the end of 2007 and they won't be renewing it. So I honestly don't know I'm not that savy. So maybe she needs to download it again. she is going to contact Microsoft today and ask them. |

you can go to the Microsoft website and contact them. My sister is waiting for a reply about the same thing. She wants to go back to version 6. I'm not going to upgrade till they get all the bugs out. they will probably be coming out with a service pack for it. |

This is for XP only but probably most of you have that http://www.webtree.ca/windowsxp/repair_xp.htm Oh there isn't anything on here for the upgrade so don't endanger your computer trying something. |
I have XP and downloaded the IE 7 and I've not had any problems whatsoever. I can still get to the Pogo game site. I've had the upgrade now for about 2 or 3 weeks. |
go to start help and support undo harmful and unintended changes then on your right click on system restore then choose a date earlier then when you upgraded to 7 then restore to that date Quote:

I upgraded and I dislilke more than I like with it...I need to try to go back to what it was before ... |

Ive thought about doing this, but I can't remember when I downloaded it and I'm not too up to date on computer issues so I am afraid I will loose too much information if I do that (Pictures saved since then will be gone won't they?) I am not one to backup things like I should so that's another reason why I am leary to do the restore... Oh man I wish I had never even bothered with it. |
It can be intimidating to those of us who are not 'techies'; but, the restore feature in XP has saved my computer more than once! No, pix will not be lost. |
I upgraded and messed with it for about 10 minutes and then I did the restore on my computer. I like the old one, I'm used to it and it works fine for me. Thank goodness for that restore option! |

I upgraded a couple of weeks ago and I haven't had any trouble. The only thing I don't like about it is there's no icon for mail once you open your browser...you have to go through the start button instead of just hitting an icon on the tool bar. |
It is right under where it says built in product maintenace, Quote:

I have IE 7 and seems to work fine. Try going to java.com and download latest version might help fix the problems. |
I was having lots of problems with the Internet 7, I would be in the middle of something and it would just freeze up and throw me out. I actually now have Mozilla Firefox and like it very well. My son told me about it, it's what he uses and he is a computer engineer so, I figured if he liked it it had to be very good. |
I have 2 PC's and so far havent had any probs. other then when signing on to aol, then get x's. But use to have the pay version and now the free one |
I definitely recommend Mozilla Firefox. I've used this for a few years and love it!!! You can tab, have a personal forecast at the bottom of the browser, contains a spell checker for anything you write, so many customizations to change the look of your browser, and of course, javascript!!! Just google mozilla firefox and download! You won't be disappointed! :animal36 -Samantha |

That's exactly what I use. Mozilla Firefox. Even though I haven't upgraded to to IE7, I use firefox often, you won't be disappointed! |

You will not lose any files that you have created such as pictures or documents, when you do a restore. it only changes things that involve your system. |
