worst weekend
 

My daughter came to me saturday night and told me that she has a drug problem and she needs me to take care of her 2 1/2 year old son I knew something was wrong with her because i would babysit for her and each day she would drop her son off late each day finally her job fired her ,her and her husband seperated last year after months of him mentally abusing her telling her she needs to loose weight and going out on weekends and not coming home until sunday nights finally she had enough and left him ,well she meet someone about a month ago turns out he is a drug user and now my daughter is using i just dont see how she can do this to her son .he is so adorable . I"m so upset with her i never dreamed i would have to face somthing like this , and then to make matters worse my husband was on his way home from work last night and got rear ended my car is totalled the backend is shoved clear up no more trunk on the trunk my car has the words pontiac on it and the p is enbeded in the guys minni van thank god my husband was not injured .sorry so long just had to vent .heres a pic of my grandson i just dont see how she could do this to him.what is this world coming too all these kids doing drugs . :confused: :mad:

I'm so sorry to hear this for you and your grandbaby, who is precious by the way! It's good though that she felt she could come to you and tell you and she didn't keep her baby in danger and keep it to herself. I hope you don't mind me saying that you could have found out in a much worse way. At least she has sense enough to know she has a problem and hopefully will do something about it. You are in my thoughts and prayers as I know it's easy for me to sit back and say everything will be ok. It's hard to know what someone is going through unless you've walked a mile in thier shoes. I have a twenty year old who has a mind of his own and worries me sick sometimes but am fortunate that he doesn't have any children. Sorry about your car too! Wish I could give you a big hug! :hug:

I am so very sorry to hear about your daughter and grandson. Be glad she did come to you. So many don\'t, and it is tragic. A friend of mine is going through this same thing, and I have seen what it does to the family. They finally had an intervention where the only choices they gave her daughter was jail or treatment. She is in treatment now, and so far is doing good. I hope and pray that everything will turn out good for you.

:( The same thing happened to my parents. My brother had a daughter and both him and his wife became addicted to drugs. Eventually my parents had legal guaradianship of her and raised her for 8 yrs until my sister in law got her act together - took a long time, my brother never did get his together.

Your grandson is adorable and he is very lucky to have you to take care of him. We will be keeping your daughter in our prayers that she gets the help she needs!!

My son had a dependency problem a few years back and we got him into treatment and it worked...thank goodness. It is a very scary, emotional, and worrisome time and my heart goes out to you.
