THE HUG THREAD For THE HOLIDAYS
 

To all the people out there who may be feeling down - I thought it would be fun to do a thread where everyone can say something nice to anyone they want -

I'm starting with someone here who I just talked to in a pm -
Jessica you have SO MUCH To be thankful for and I know just from doing your cards that you have the best heart - you have friends who are here for you anytime you need to talk .....and I want to wish you all the best during the busy holiday season....

you're pulling a big load but...you'll make the best nurse :thumbup: :thumbup: and you're almost there:) Not to mention - i just saw your picture and you sure are CUTE !

HUGS and The Girls send you lots of Smoochies - you have a wonderful trip ....your family will miss you but they'll be just fine !

and it came at a perfect time. A past co-worker just stopped by to say hello and let me know she is doing better. Last summer she lost her husband in an accident leaving her to raise 3 young sons. She was out of it for a couple of months but with the help of family and friends she has managed to get things together. This will be a hard Christmas for them this year and I pray things will go ok with the love of their family around them.

and my post is also to Bettyeanne and a few others who I know are feeling the times - and to those who recently lost their yorkies due to illness or age - Click the hug ....and know you have friends who are here for you -

We're all in different situations and sometimes it really helps to just put the sad feelings aside and concentrate on the GOOD things we have....The Holidays can be lonely busy stessful times ....and I dont want anyone feeling down if I can help it - that's why I did this post - it's corny and hokey but I really mean it.

oh wow - that shows how much you must mean to her .....how sad that was to hear....those poor boys:( and if you do talk to her again ....you can offer that hugs to her - just tell her it's from Houston .....and one is for you too Archie - you're always so nice on the site I really enjoy your posts....

Thank you V, you are always so thoughtful of everyone. I pray for a very joyous new year for all of our YT members and their families. I know that for many, like myself, this is where we come to 'relax' and get 'lost' from problems and stress. I am so thankful for meeting such a wonderful group and for allowing me to be part of it.

I pray that my mother is soon back to health and that I do a fine job in finish raising my 12 year old brother for her.

I would like to take the time to (((hug))) Rebecca, she has been so kind and thoughtful to me and we share a great sense of humor, not only here, but at 4WT also.

Also to Lynne, (((hug))) she lives 30-35 minutes from me and she is just so much fun to be with. We even went shopping this past Saturday. Had a ball!!!

To Denise, (((hug))) you let me know you care. Special PM's and always showing an interest.

To Villette (((hug))) you were so welcoming to me when I first joined YT and have been so helpful. You are an inspiration for me to be a much better person and for that too, I thank you.

There are so many others too on here and at 4WT that I truly love and adore. What a great bunch of ladies. So all of you please know, whether you're UP or DOWN, you are in my prayers every day for a peaceful, wonderful life filled with all good things.

I know I'm a sensitive person anyway, but the holidays makes it worse/better...LOL. I'm crying at these posts, but being cheered up at the same time. So happy you started this thread...you truly are an angel on earth.

Awwww!!!!! Thank you SO MUCH Villette!!! You are THE BEST!!! :hug: I AM doing well....just trying to take one day at a time :) I can't wait until Wednesday - I will actually be able to GET UP OUT OF THIS BED and WALK AROUND!!!! AHHHHH.......CIRCULATION!!!!!! :D LOLOL. I hate to see what the bed looks like when I crawl out of it....there is probably a HUGE indentation of my REAR END in the mattress!!!! :p :p :p LOL :rolleyes:

P.S.- I also wanted to say THANK YOU TIMES A MILLION for the CD's!!!! My hubby informed me the other day that they came in the mail - I can't WAIT to get started on learning how to use the programs - MORE FUN AVATARS, YEAH!!!!! :happyboun

Thank you for posting this...I've been feeling really lonely lately, and it reminds me that there are people out there who have worse problems than being alone! Hugs to you for thinking of everyone again! You're too sweet!

Thanks. The holidays always do it to me...and on top of that I've had several people in the last couple of weeks remind me that I'm alone "Do you ever think about getting married?" My response to that was, "Yes, all the time, but that requires two people." Or, "Why don't you get a boyfriend?" As if it's that easy. I don't know why people can't just keep their mouths shut about stuff like that. I guess I"m just really sensitive about it & I'm also down because I want a house & saving up for it (in addition to normal bills & stuff) on one income is VERY hard to do. Sorry for the long post...I'm just stuck in my little pity party right now (which I hate by the way).

I don't know why people think you have to be a couple to be happy - I'd be estatic about owning my own home and all on your own ? that's awesome and something to be so proud of :thumbup: :thumbup: - that's one of my dreams that's probably in my past... but I think that you are incredible doing that.

You can be in a relationship and be just as lonely as any single person out there - marriage doesn't guarantee anything ....and honestly, even being married can be lonely at times. VERY lonely because you know there are 2 of you and that makes it worse. So have your pity party ;) ;) ...then think of that new home and give yourself alot of kudos -

I just don't know how long it'll be before I get that house. It just keeps getting pushed farther and farther away. And I know that even couples are lonely, but I'd just like to be on the "other side" for a while. And thanks for the encouragement...it really does help. Like I said earlier, threads like this remind me that there's others out there who have bigger issues than me, and I need to quit feeling sorry for myself.

Thanks for starting this wonderful post Villette. The holidays can be such difficult times for some people and it's so nice to have people like you around to bring up everyone's spirits :) I've been having back problems since July--some days are better than others--but it can be so frustrating at times. I haven't even put up my Chirstmas decorations yet and I used to LOVE decorating for Christmas :( but I'm going to do it next weekend (hopefully) ;)

For all of you who have lost a loved one (of any kind) this past year,
to all of you having medical problems,
to all of you in financial hardship,
to all of you with family in other places..........

and Breny - I'm sorry girl about your back - that's the worst kind of pain

veering off topic - please keep the freezing cold puppy mill dogs in your prayers too - everytime I go outside I think of all those poor dogs in cages that must be just FREEZING

it just SUCKS that people do this to them - no dog should ever have to live like they do - ever and not to offend anyone - but I blame the millers AND pet stores that buy these dogs. No one can tell me selling dogs in pet stores is a good thing when most all buy from mills.

I'm happy for those who have healthy dogs from a store - but not happy thinking about where they come from. sorry - it's a PET PEEVE of mine and something that shouldn't happen in this country.

When I saw my girls shivering this morning.... I can't help but think of the thousands out there who do NOT have an indoor place to be or even a blanket . :( .....and I hope each and every dog out there is warm for the winter.

But I know that's just a dream.:( :(

Wow Villette! Girl, you ALWAYS are so on top of things, thinking of others - whether at holiday time or not. Thank you for starting this wonderful thread. I don't have a chance these days to get in here like I want to but when I have the chance, I always find these great posts:)

This Christmas will be a better one than last year for me and my family. Last year, we were still dealing with "Rita's" havoc and the fact she almost took my husband's life - by this time, he had been through 2 surgeries and on Christmas day, an infection set in and he was taken off work AGAIN! We made Christmas a happy time for the boys but hubby and I were just thankful he was still there with us. After 4 surgeries, and if you've never seen him before, you couldn't look at him and tell anything happened!

To all of my YT friends who've recently gone through surgery, loss of a loved one (whether friend or family member), and those who find the holidays especially hard - God bless you all! We are "family" here and will provide all the hugs, love, and shoulders we can for each of you. And for the puppy mill furbabies, oh, my heart breaks for you! Sending extra-special hugs and love to you :love:

And thank you everyone for being here and a part of this great group! As I said, I don't get in here much these days due to issues at work and just busy, busy. You guys always pick me up just by sharing your stories, concerns, and pics of your precious babies.

Oh wow girl - I had no idea !! HUGS TO YOU BOTH and Merry Christmas to you - you do have alot to be thankful for and I'm so glad things are better ....

I would like to give hugs to all the great caring people I have met on YT. It really helps me cope with the bad times. Also, I was downtown Chicago yesterday with my sister for her husbands Prostate cancer surgery, which went well, thanks to eveyones prayers and we took a break and walked down the Magnificent Mile and it was so cold and there were so many homeless people asking for money. I gave what I had but it is so sad that they have no one in their lives that can help them on a better level. Big hugs to Villette and Michiko!!!
