She needs to call the shelter and have someone TAKE HIM HOME if it closes -Maybe someone can meet her later if she doesn't get there in time - it's not like they don't know she's coming - they should make an exception.

with all the CA people - there isn't anyone close by ?? Man - that's the bad thing about the net - we want to help and are all so far from each other :(

i'm all the way in al i would call the shelter and ask could tehy stay open or come back when she gets there i'm sure they would as tey prob love having the rare chance to actually reunite pets & their humans like this!! how could someone just dump the poor guy off like that!! good luck be safe!

Thats an awesome idea! Some one call kathryne and tell her to try that !!! I don't see why they couldn't do that! Can someone call her????

I can't believe this! I'm only an hour from this shelter! BUT we decided to put my car in the shop to have some things taken care of while the kids are out of school. There is no way for me to get there!!! I just called my sister in law to see if she could do it, she's only 30 minutes from stockton but she is not home :( I will keep trying...

GUYS .. I have a IDEA.. what if we each call the shelter and tell thim to wait for her. maybe they will make an exception if they know sooooooooooooo many people are rooting for kathryn?

Half an hour is pretty near. Hopefully you will reach her and she will be willing to lend a hand.

She's on her way. So far she's encountered 2 car accidents that slowed her down but she's still going. The shelter knows she's on her way but they won't stay open 2 hours later just for her. If she doesn't arrive in time, she will be forced to stay over night in a hotel (another expense). I really hope she can make it there on time or someone can help her out. :(

youd think they would make an exception since shes 7 HOURS away!! THats what I hate about SOME shelters...they wanna find dogs a good home but god forbid wont make exceptions or go out of their way!!:mad: :mad: BOO!!:thumbdown :mad: :mad: :mad:

I can understand them not wanting to stay open, but I still think one of their employees could take him home & meet her later with him.

She asked about that too -- it's against their policy. :( :( She really doesn't want him to spend one more night in a cage -- she's so upset. I could hear it in her voice. She's just a wreck over this. I pray she gets there before they close!

You guys, I don't know what to do to help! I know I am so close but what can I do??? My husband gets home at 4:20, I'll never make it either. I called my brother to see where my sister in law is today and she is visiting her mother 2 hours away. So that isn't going to work. :(
