So who is going shopping at 12am, or will you be in line for the 5am opening of the stores...

I have a crowd phobia and really can't take people swarming :eek: :eek: so I AVOID those stores like the plaque - I'd rather pay more than fight those kinds of crowds

Im going at 5am on Friday morning! I just love it! The crowds dont bother me at all! I hope to get the majority of my shopping done.

lol I'm not going anywhere that early in the morning. Especially with all the people that will be going crazy to run in the door i'll probably get run over lol.

I am going at both 12am, and at 5am. Here I believe that Macy's, Value City, and Kohls will be opening at 12am...and then I will hit Wal-mart, then Target at 5am. I love the rush, I am not shopping for anything...just going with some friends. I have a few gifts left to get and I think I will save them to buy on Christmas Eve...Yeah, I am a Wacko...I haven"t been in the Christmas Spirit like this in YEARS!!

Wow! You're pretty hard core to go fight all the rush without even having any intention to buy gifts.

I refuse to do anything but grocery shop on Black Friday and the weekend following Thanksgiving. I hit the stores today and will spend the time helping a friend paint her condo and making hair bows for Gracie!

On Black Friday, all the stores open at like 5 am and everything is on sale. A lot of people like to finish their Christmas/Holiday shopping on Black Friday....so the stores are a mad house. :p (which is why I stay very, very, very, very, very, very, very far away from them. haha)

The closest I've ever been to shopping on Black Friday was last Black Friday. I had gotten an autograph in the mail from someone in Wicked, so I went out to Walgreens to buy a picture frame. And that was insane, I can't imagine those other stores! lol.

I am WOHOO :happyboun And I can't wait! I love to shop Black friday Even if I don't have a thing to buy. My sis in law is going to get inline at best buy right after dinner thursday. for there lap top for 200.00 And I think they open a 5 am Now thats wacko LOL.

I like to go and get a door buster deal and walk around the store with it. Wait a lil while and when there all gone some one always asks " where did you find that?" and I'll say " Oh over there but they are gone now...... But you know what I don't want this. would you like it ?" OH it puts a smile on their fase and I feel good about it.:)

Not me - I'm more of an internet shopper - hate malls and crowds - i even buy my perfume, makeup, books, cds, etc. online!! And of course, everything I need for Sadie, I buy online - including her clothes, pee pads, food, xpen, toys, shampoo, conditioner. Maybe I'm just an internet addict?????? :p

I don't even go shopping on the weekends, unless I have too, because I hate the crowds so much. But I will be working friday evening, but at least I'll be making money instead of spending it :)

I don't know if you guys heard...but CompUSA is opening ON thanksgiving night this year I think around 9 or 10. My friend works there and the poor guy has to leave right after Thanksgiving dinner to go to work!

I went last year with hubby (our first black friday) and it was so much fun! We were there @ 2am and were #20 in line.........I got my laptop for 399 though!!

OMG you are so sweet! I did the same last year. I wanted a laptop and got it. Behind me was a lady that wanted one too for her son in Iraq. When we got to the table she didn't get a ticket :(

BUT, my dh and I had already planned he'd get her a ticket. She cried when we told here.............it's yours :D

Not happenin here. There's nothing i want that's worth fighting the crowds for.

There is a reason why the merchants do this. They create a feeding frenzy, a false sense of desparation, and people buy things they wouldn't ordnarily buy.

I avoid weekends at Walmart. Especially the first weekend of the month. It's crazy.

Good luck CHACHI. I was able to get my laptop last year and we had lots of fun. The store I go to has police surveilance and security. Dunkin' donuts even handed free coffee and donuts (it was snowing last year) and we met wonderful people :thumbup:

Thank god I haven't experiences like those of others. I guess we are a bit civilized in my area...............lol :D
