I have an addiciton to genealogy. That has taken a back seat to my Yorkie addiction that started in August 2006! Besides genealogy, I like to spend time online, on sites like this one chatting with people who have similar interests and issues in life. I like to walk, cook and do home improvement projects. I love to shop!

i am in my last year of university... so when i am not at school or studying.. or being with my Layla... i like to scrapbook... travel (but only to dog friendly places now!) boat, and play pool. I just joined a pool club on campus and i'm doing pretty well :) But i hate having to leave Layla, even tho grandma and grandpa take very good care of her!

I used to draw, paint and knit but after getting yorkies (especially ones that get into things) it has been difficult to do those things.
I like to read fiction, mostly (I'm not into historical books)--I'm currently reading Marley and Me-Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog.
I also like to cook and love to bake so I put my baking skills to use and recently started a dog treat business.

I have played the flute 9 or 10 years, I love photography (landscapes and cars) and I also love doing body work on cars. If I could have any career in the world it would be to do custom work on cars and trucks. =D Here is a pic where I shaved where the VW emblem went on this spoiler. Car Hobby

I would have to say my life revolves around dogs. When Im not grooming Im at a dog show. I do pet therapy with some of my dogs but been really lagging in that right now, been busy grooming and when I get home Im totally drained. The pet therapy group starts back up after the first of the year and Im promising myself to make time after work on thursday nights

I make fleece dog blankets, topknot bows, love to shop (but who doesnt lol), Im a casino freak, love to gamble.
What alot of people dont know is Im a firefighter for the NJ state forest fire service. Im pretty excited i have been on medical leave for about 5 years and my dr is finally letting me go back to doing it again
And when Im home, Im always looking for a reason not to do housework so when I talk myself out of doing something around the house im on the computer researching dogs and dog related things

hm..what do I do besides yorkies..this is a tough one(NOT being sarcastic)...oh I take care of my babies(Lillian,and the other two dogs).

And I..ummm oh I built her a bed yesturday does that count?;)

I used to be into cars a lot, but then I decided vehicles w/ two wheels are more fun! So that's my new thing now. But my boyfriend and his friends are working on building a project car that they want me to race. I can't wait!

I scrapbook on Monday nights with my sister. It's a great way to stay close to one another and keep up with what the family is up to. I also like to tole paint when I am in the mood. Right now I have just learned how to sew and have been making outfits for Starsky and Shylah. I am adventuring on to using patterns, because they were only 1.00 each at the fabric store!

I like to.......

Ride horses. I have been riding since I was 7, it's my absolute most favorite thing in the world. I hadn't gone in 5 or 6 months, but yesterday I went again and I can't tell you how great it was to be back.

I act. I've been in a few shows: Guys and Dolls, The Music Man, School House Rock, 45 Minutes From Broadway, and I'm in rehearsals for Fiddler On the Roof. :)

I sing. Not too great at it, but I'm hoping to take up voice lessons sometime soon.

I draw. I'm REALLY bad at it, but it's soooo much fun. :p

I write. I LOOVE writing. Currently, I've been coming up with some ideas to write a book. I'd really love to get something published. :D

and I take pictures. It's definietly one of my favorite things. I think i was born with a camera in my hand. :p

Of course my Yorkie Kids and my husband consume most of the time when I am not at work.

I also:

Sew

Raise and train Miniature Horses to drive -- I spend about two hours a day at my barn

I "do" pony parties where we take a mini and a cart and have way too much fun giving the kids rides and letting them have a chance to drive

Love to read -- not much time for reading these days

Marley & Me is a fantastic book...are you enjoying it? I had chewy on my lap as a 3 month old pup when I finsihed the book... I was glad to have my baby on my lap while I read about this cute baby in the book...it was good bonding time!

This is fun reading about all the hobbies we all have. Nice to know there is such a variety of people on here.
besides doting on my furbabies, I am a marathon runner, videographer (I do weddings/events and edit to DVD. I also love photography, reading (Love Steven King) fiction and non. I like sports alot, am a competive cyclocross racer. I also am a computer geek, I have built a few of my own, specifically my editing station. I love kids and dogs. I love cooking but rarely do :-(
Oh and did I mention, I love to dote on my furbabys-- one yorkie, one maltese, and one bichon

Yes, I'm enjoying the book. I'm almost finished...but I know that Marley dies at the end so I'm not looking forward to finishing the book. I'll probably be crying when I get to that part...silly me
Yesterday my boyfriend bought me "Who Moved My Bone? A Guide for Multi-Dog Households" Have you read that? I read some negative reviews on Amazon..not sure if I should return it...

running (only in warm weather, though!)
kyaking
golfing
shopping (my favorites are shoes, bags and Bare Escentuals make-up!)
reading
photography and PhotoShop (although I haven't had much time for it lately:( )
