I'm Lutheran. I thank the Lord every day for this beautiful world. |
I'm an agnostic. I certainly do respect everyone's religious choices. Carol Jean |

North American Baptist Conference which is a German based Baptist. I found this link for an online radio station just the last few days. There are some great messages from Pastor Chuck Swindoll, Pastor Greg Laurie, Dr David Jeremiah, it is wonderful with a program guide as well http://www.oneplace.com/faithtalk/ And all God's Children said -- AMEN. |
I am a christian and so is my whole family. The Lord has helped us so much, we are thankful for everything he has done for us and everything he continues to do for us. It is truly amazing what he has done for us. With God all things are possible. A little off topic here, but has anyone here seen The Passion?? It was a huge hit here. We went out and bought it but I could only watch it once. It was so gory but they say what really happened was alot worse then what they showed in the video. I think of it all the time and how much Jesus loves us to go through that suffering for us. What really amazes me was when he was on the cross and the people throwing rocks at him and cursing him and everything else he still prayed for them saying father forgive them, they do not know. To be able to do that just amazes me. I know if it were me, forgiveness for them would be one of the last things on my mind, but I am only human. Anyways, I thought it was a great movie and a great reminder what Jesus did for us all. I am sorry I don't know all the religions, I know the more common ones but could you explain what a Lutheran and an Agnostic beliefs are?? Is the Agnostic were you don't belive in any holidays or heaven or hell?? I thought that was called something else. If I am wrong please correct me, like I said I really don't know what it is so don't take offense if I got it totally wrong. |

Christian and forgiven because of Jesus' blood. Praise God, He lives !! |
Martin Luther is the father of Protestanism. In the 1500s, he led a revolt against the existing Church and its teachings and views - and this movement was the beginning of protestanism.... the Lutheran Church was named after Martin Luther. An athiest does not believe in the existance of God. An agnostic isn't sure. He feels that God may exist - or may not exist.... He feels that man can't be sure about the existance or nonexistance of God. All the above - are very short - but I think you can get the general idea. Carol Jean |
 Wow, normally this question elicits a lot of disgust and lack of desire to be discussed. I'm glad to see this response. Since we're on this topic and we're all sharing our beliefs, here's mine: I don't believe that Jesus was who the bible makes him out to be. I do believe that there is a higher being. A God if you will, but I don't follow any particular practise. I enjoy seeking the truth and I find that more and more to be in history and what we uncover about our past. The "telephone game" was never a very reliable one, was it? (i.e. the bible) In the end, I think it's important for a race like ours that we really need a belief system and the stories of Jesus and the like help many people find comfort when thinking of the unknown. |
