Venting about Ebay member!!! So I bought a super cute pair of jeans on ebay. Well I bet and won, you know how it goes. Total was $27.95 Paid them.. and never received them. Emailed the guy like 10 times, no reply. opened up a dispute through paypal.. nothing! I have to pay paypal $25 for them to investigate and make him pay. So its almot not worth it. I got sneaky, found his AIM account.. so i've been sending him messages, he first responded until he figured out who I was. THere was 4 other members that he screwed over on ebay. I just sent him a money request through paypal. I'm soooo pissed off!!!!! :mad: :mad: Its not about the amount of money, its not that much. But its his #(*$(#*& attitude! :mad: I dont want to go overboard in harassing him.. even though I found a forum he posts on , and his myspace accoutn, along with his wife's info. That's crappy. People like that make me afraid to buy off ebay. I always check the reputations first. |
ebay charges you now to investigate...I thought that was the reason to use paypal, so you are protected from things like this....make sure you leave him really bad feedback if you did't already |

He had a great reputation of over 100 positive replies.. he had like 98% positive. |
Can paypal also collect the $25 that you would have to pay to investigate him? |

That's weird, I've never been charged for paypal to investigate anything. That really sucks though! :( |

Sorry for your bad experience! I'm going thru the same thing right now. We ordered backup cell phone batteries/chargers and paid 3 weeks ago and still haven't received anything. We emailed them about the status and the a-hole replied "Don't worry. You'll get what you paid for". Are you freaking kidding me?!? Jerk. :mad: |
Yeah I'm sooooo mad. It's not so much about the money or the item.. it's more about the principle. Basically he stole money from me. You can file that you haven't received your item with ebay after 10 days |
i got a reply form an annonymous person... "yyou stupid f-in crazy bit**.. i already sent out your jeans.. blah blah blah" i was like yeah right.. all i want is my money back. He goes, I have family problems.. so i said.. i know Sh** happens, but the least you could have done was send an email. Im not the only one.. your account has been disabled. He said .. "enjoy your f-ing jeans, bye" uuuhhhhh |

yeah its been canceled. He also said that everyone else received their stuff Im like.. its not about the stuff.. its been a month and a half.. adn then when i saw him on AIM and myspace.. clearly he has time to mess around on myspace, but no time to respond to me or anyone else hes screwed.. tahts what made me so mad |
It looks like he needs to grow up. Too bad you didn't see his myspace before you bought from him. It looks like doesn't even really have a job. He plays video games all day, skateboards, and is in a band. He should go work at McDonalds instead of rip people off on ebay. I hope you really get your jeans or your money back. I have had the same experience before. But Paypal reembursed me without a problem with their buyer's protection. I didn't have to pay anything and they put the money back into the account. The person on Ebay purposefully didn't send the item out if the person didn't buy insurance. |

Paypal has never charged me to receive a refund. I've had it a few times, where I didn't receive the item. They wait for a response from the seller and if the seller doesn't have proof of sending the item or doesn't respond they auctomatically take the money from them. It of course, has to have been less than 30 days though. |
Wow! I haven't really ever had a problem buying or selling on eBay or through PayPal....and I definitely didn't know they charged you to investigate a problem! Some people.............hope all works out for you in the end! You know, he can always create a new account too, under a different name...and some people hide their feedback rating too...don't know how they get by with that, but I have seen it. |
I always use a credit card even when I pay through paypal. That way, all you have to do is notify your credit card company, that you didn't get the item and they will credit your account. I think they actually take the money back from paypal and then paypal has to try to collect from the seller. |
