Why the patch....??? Quote:
Sounds like you are having adverse reactions to the patch. Indeed it may be too much for your little body.....sorry, you look petite.....or you may have the flu on top of it....... If there is anyway......can you try to kick this without the patch? With all of our help??????????????????? Just a thought.......good luck and feel better. |
CONGRATSSS* keep it up :D |
Awww Gina, I'm calling you right now ... ring ring. |
Woo woo! Hang in there...you'll be glad you did!:clapsmile |
Way to go Gina!!! Hang in there and you'll be smoke free completely in no time. |
I'm so very proud of you! I had my one year smober anniversary on 9/15/06. I can tell you that after the first 3 weeks, it gets much easier. (Hell week, heck week, then blah week!) So you see, you have almost made it through hell week. Keep going. I'm here for you! |
Good job! I know it's tough but the day will come where the cravings are gone!:) |
SO happy to hear you are quitting!! We just lost my brother in law to heart disease from smoking. He was only 57 and my husband has severe blockages in his arteries from smoking and he's only 55. It will be so worth it! |
Way to go, Gina...I hear nicotine is as addicting as heroin, and I believe it. My father tried everything to quit, and was finally able to do so when the patch became available. They were too strong for him too, because he had managed to cut down considerably on the amount he smoked before he actually quit. You are doing the right thing by cutting them in half. Added benefit of not smoking: more elastic skin (less wrinkles), you will regain your sense of smell that you probably didn't even realize you had lost, greater lung capacity and stamina, and that's just the beginning. |
So proud of you, just think how much healthier you are going to be! I quit 15 years ago, so I know where you are coming from. Way to go girl! Keep it up! |
Way to go hang in there. |
sorry you're not feeling well. But I assure you, you will be soooooooooooo proud olf yhourslfe. And think of the money you will save. Just take it one HOUR at a time. that's what I had to do. I'd tell myself, just wait one more hour, then I'd get busy and not think about it for a while. Good Luck |
Good luck you can do it! I did! |
Gina...way to go, you can do this...I have story to share, and it applies here and hope it will continue to encourage you, I know how hard this must be, my hubby has smoked for 30 years and I want him to quit more than anything especially after this week-end. My sister-on-law, she's only 45 and just found out Friday she has Ca. Its in lymph nodes on her adrenal glands along with tumors outside of her bronchial tubes (windpipe). Her physician gave her 1 year....1 year. She has been a heavy smoker for 20 years. ITs not fair. I am sending you every ounce of encouragement I have. You can do it!!!!! I'm only 43 and can't even imagine having only 1 year of my life left to live.... I honestly hope I don't upset you by telling you this, not my intention at all.:) |
so sorry about your sister in law... bless her....... i will pray for her... ok its monday morning... still not smoking,, i cant believe it... the first time in around 20 years, this is the longest i have gone without a puff.. i took that patch off right away,, cant use it anymore... made me sick all weekend...i hope i can do this,, its so hard.. |
You Can Do It!!!!! Let me tell you, just think how much better you will feel. I lost my brother to lung cancer.......and just to tell you, and hopefully to scare the s--t out of you.....sorry......but to die of lung cancer is excrutiating.........it is suffocation......and that is really what happens.....the cancer cells take over the lung area......so you cannot breathe...... I know you can do it..........get some Sugar Free gum.......chew it.....or get on YT when you need to do something.....when you are not working of course.... You have made it through the weekend.....that is the hardest part......We are soooooooooooooooooooooooo proud of you. Keep it up!!! |
im going to do this.. i have a week under my belt, i cant stop now... thank god im nott eating everything in site though....im chewing sugarless gum and eating jolly ranchers candy.... i just have to stop thinking about it and i will be fine... thanks for the encouragement my friends |
Keep up the good work. It will get better. And it will benefit you in the long wrong. We know you can do it. |
YAY!!! You can do this!! |
