Lately in all of our local papers I have seen this ad with someone BEGGING for a free small breed puppy. I have kept my mouth shut even though her ad was pretty greedy sounding. Then she posted a new ad and I just HAD to mess with her mind hehehehe...plus I just wanted to see how she would react to my email...wanna have fun?? Im bored enough to do it...lol

I emailed her tonight and this is my totally BOGUS response lol

I have a 4 month old yorkie that I MIGHT be looking to place. I took her for a friend of mine who got sick shortly after purchasing her. I just have a few questions for you. Do you and your husband work? If so where will the puppy be kept when you arent home and for how long will you be gone from home during the day? What other breed of dogs do you have and how old are they? How old are your children and how many do you have. Do you have a fenced in yard and can I come and look at your home? She is old enough to get fixed now, will you be willing to have her fixed before she goes with you? She also requires a small breed puppy food called Royal Canin. Have you had any experience with a yorkshire terrier? They do require regular grooming. Sorry for all the questions. If I do place her in with a new family I want to make sure she is going to the best family possible.

Yes I know I should leave well enough alone..but this begging has gotten on my nerves!! Everytime you turn around here she is on every local website begging...Im not really an evil person lol..I just want to see if my instincts are right on this person. To me it sounds like some kid who wants one, but the parents wont buy one. I would straight up ask the person why they keep on begging. Your getting this poor persons hopes up probably. But maybe they'll learn to quit begging. Hey I have an idea! If you ever meet with them, bring a stuffed animal! LMAO That would be great!

I know I thought about getting their hopes up..eek..thats why I say MIGHT lol..I am curious to how they will respond to my email. Dont we all wish they were free? lol...man some people!! They have to realize the cost of the pup is no big deal compared to raising it and taking proper care of it. But ill save that for my next email lol...

My boss recently decided that they couldn't handle taking care of their Shar Pei anymore (with 4 little kids and all). A friend of his told him this lady really wanted a dog, so he went and saw her. She must've looked ok because he gave the dog to her with no charge even though she insisted she'd pay. A few days later, my boss' friend happened to look on a local university classifeds forum and saw an ad from the lady... and she was selling the dog for $450!
Of course she denied it at first and then stopped taking his calls... and eventually my boss had to buy the dog back from her because he didn't want the dog going to a place he didn't know. I guess you can't trust anyone! People could just beg for free dogs and sell them to make a quick buck.

That is AWFUL!! Makes me sick!! I guess that is why they say to never give a dog away for free..makes more sense to me now...I take for granted that not everyone is a good person that loves dogs.

This reminds of of a lady who I once barely knew who begged us (other moms who had children in the same playschool class as her child) all for baby stuff including highchairs and strollers, cribs, play pens all for free. Her husband was losing his job and she needed it all so she could start watching children in her home to support their poor family.

We all helped out and gave her all the stuff she needed. We found out a couple weeks later her hubby never was losing his job and she sold the stuff in the paper and made quite a small fortune. :mad: :mad:

She later told another friend about what she did to us, laughing at how dumb we all were, little did she know I also knew that friend too. It was not pretty the next time I saw her. :p

i cant wait to see what she writes back to you...this should be fun. i love messin with dumb people like this. it would be kinda fun to say that you have a small mutt that you are willing to rehome lol that is already fixed and full grown and see what she says when she sees that someone is trying to help her but they arent offering her an expensive or pure bred dog lol...lets have some fun

why would anyone give someone like that a free dog? she has pets already ? but they can't afford to buy a small dog! makes you wonder if they can afford to take care of the pets they already have and even their kids some people just have no shame at all!

No word from her yet...its only 9am though...I cant wait hehehehe..

Who knows maybe one of our trolls alerted her to this thread, it has happened often here.

It's people like that who ruin it for people who really do need the help. This is why so many people don't donate to people or help out people who need help, because they think it's a scam.

I know the ads can't be free and you said she placed one in several of the newspapers, how is she going to pay for that and not be able to pay for a puppy? Maybe she has friends or family in other towns and if she got a free puppy she would get them to sell it for her?? Sounds like a scam to me, if she has other animals, she doesn't need a puppy. jmo:

That entire thing doesn't make sense. If they have other female dogs, why are they looking to get one free?

The writing in that ad is atrocious.

And as someone else mentioned, those ads have to cost money. Sounds very fishy to me. Give us the email address and we'll all write to them.

People want a free pet if you cant afford to pay for the pet you cant afford the vet I will give money to beggers , homeless , charitys but never a free pet

I just think someone else should email her and say that they have a female mutt puppy that is already fixed that they cant take care of and they are willing to give her a new home...i could do it and i even have pics of a mut i could send her because my mom has a mutt lol...or i could email her and tell her that i have a large breed but registered female thats not fixed that i can give to her because i have pics of my aunts american bulldogs on my pc and if shes willing to take it then you know shes just trying to make some money lol if she turns the small one down but takes the big one which is completely opposite from the one she asked for lol...if you want me to try just pm me her email

I agree. Sometimes, there are people who genuinely needed help. For me, when it comes to money donation like someone in the street who asked me a buck or two because they don't have money to pay the fare to go home or for food; I will usually give them a buck or two because I give them the benefit of the doubt..what if the person really needs it? What if the person is already depressed and not getting some money for food, he got so desperate and committed suicide after? The buck or two won't hurt me so sometimes, I do give although if my hubby finds out about this, he would give me a good nag. When it comes to puppy.....that is a whole different story. That is something i do not want to take chances with and that is probably why I never breed my dogs because i will not be able to part with my puppies and I would worry about them all the time even if they had gone to good homes.

Just an idea..maybe in the email you can include that you are giving them a puppy but it comes with a contract to sign as well..something that says to cover the neuter/spay costand to be neuter/spayed before going to their home and puppy must be with them for the next say 3 years in exchange of the free puppy.If they are going to use them for breeding or resell, they would respond differently to this.

Well this is her only and last response...she is totally off her rocker and I hope no one gives these people a puppy...no matter how big or small!!



no my husband and i do not work we are disability, we do not have any dogs
right now we did have a jack russel terrior we have a fence in the back yard
but it not fenced all the way around and right now finacial wise we can not
afford to have her fixed

Younger than 4 months?? A good breeder will not sell you a puppy much younger than that..16 weeks is very young!! Anything younger could be dangerous...if you cant afford to have her spayed..how can you afford her shots? What if your puppy were to get sick..then what would you do? I am sorry but if you cant afford a simple medical procedure like a spay then you should wait a while to get a puppy. A good quality puppy food is around $16 per bag and small breeds NEED it for their teeth and general health. What if your puppy were to get loose...and she wasnt spayed? A litter of puppies could end up costing you over $1000. Maybe a small breed isnt the best choice for you. You should wait until your fence is complete and your finances are more in order..this is a commitment and the small breed puppies are just alot more work. I am offering you a VERY expensive dog for FREE and you cant even afford to take care of the simple things?? Good luck on your search...but think about the best interest of the dog!!

Ohhhhhhhhh it gets better...

i have had pleanty of animals in my past and have had alot of them come from
homes that they beated the animal also a puppy is ready at the age of 6-8
weeks to go to a home i know that cause i helped raise my mother 5 year old
dog now from when he was 1st born i have had pleanty of experience in
raising a dog so there for i know exactly what i am doing no offence thanks
for the advice and we know exactly how much it is to take care of a dog and
how much dog food is

i know you are looking out for the benifits of the dog but im sorry to say
you are asking me to have the dog fixed before i even get her what is to say
that i give you the money you get her fixed and i don't get the dog?
don't take me worng the reason im saying that is for the reason it has
happend to us in the past and alot of people i know have had the same
experience in that

also we had a terrior before and like i said the previous owner beat him
can't prove it but i can say this much whenever a man came near him he would
grow and show his teeth to the fact we had him for a year and he finally
turned against my husband and attacked him so we had no choice to put him
down and that was only a month ago also the reason i said we are looking for
a puppy after christmas that way then we can save between now and then for
the exspences of shots fixing and esentuals the puppy will need
