Worst time ever I am having the hardest time with this pregnancy.... I went to the hospital last week for spotting, they thought I had a tubal pregnancy, so I had an ultrasound done... the baby is where it should be, but I have hemorrhaging (sp) ovarian cysts.. I've had 2 rupture, I've been on bed rest for 2 weeks now, I have severe nausea, I vomit every night around 9pm... I'm on a nausea med, which helps, but after I eat and sometimes drink I have this severe burning from my stomach up to my throat... I think heartburn, but I'm not sure.. I can barely eat, barely drink, and I cannot swallow ANY of my spit or I will vomit or get heartburn from it.. So I'm probably somewhat dehydrated as well.... :( I'm trying to be optomistic, and postive about the situation, But I loooove food, and drinking fluids lol... and I hate sitting in my bed day in and day out... I can barely take care of my daughter... Has anyone else ever had such an awful pregnancy, any suggestions... words for thought.. anything?? If not, thanks for letting me vent. Tashia |

Hi Tashia, Congrats on your new coming baby! I think second babies are harder. Or at least for me, . One day I didnt feel good, I felt kinda stiff and just yucky period. I just kept going, doing all the things I needed to do. I had a daughter, I had animals I had to take care of too, hubby & house to take care of, dinner to fix, plus I worked two 12 hr shifts as a prison nurse twice a week. I just kept doing it. In the middle of the night I woke up and could hardly breath from the pain in my side. I couldnt even stand up straight. I sat on the side of the bed and finally got it together. I really shouldnt have drove but I woke up my husband told him I was sick and told him I was leaving. I think I was gone before he fully woke up. My daughter was only 18 months at the time and she was fast asleep. Anyway, at the ER they told me it almost positive it was an ectopic pregnancy. I was devastated since I went thru hoops to have this baby. Next thing I knew I woke up two days later. I guess I woke up before that, but it just seemed like a dream to me, I dont remember it. The baby was fine, the ER was wrong.......I was overworked......tired......exhausted. Hormones crazy too. It scared my husband so much he took a week off work to help me, he took care of the dogs and dinner. My mom came too to do house work & laundry too. I just needed help, but I didnt know how to ask for it. Maybe you need someone to help you and your lil girl and baby you right now? |
Tashia - I'm sorry to hear you are having such a hard time. I have no advice other than to tell you to make sure you are taking care of yourself and I hope it gets better. |

Hey girl, I only have a few weeks left, but I remember what the first trimester was like. It's ALWAYS the worst! This pregnancy was so much worse than my first, I felt like I was going to throw up EVERY day. My son was a dream compared this this pregnancy. But as soon as I hit my second trimester it was over. Now that I'm in the last it comes and goes every once in a while, but it was nothing like the first. So things will get better. Congrats on the baby. Try to get some help from family and friends and get even your other child involved in helping you. If you let your older child know that you need them to do something to help mommy as in picking up or getting something they usually love to do it. My son loves to do little things for me, just don't forget to show appreciation with lots of thanks, love, and hugs. He loves to help mommy out so much that he gets mad at daddy when he does it. Keep your chin up, after the first trimester things will get better! |
Aww, sweetie, I am so sorry you are having such a rough pregnancy. I was lucky, My 1st one was a breeze except for Yakking 2 or 3 times a day the entire time, and if it weren't for the fact that I had no idea what my feet looked like any more, I wouldn't have even known I was pregnant 15 yrs. later with my 2nd. I have had ruptured cysts, they are painful, and I wasn't even pg. I really feel bad for you. This should be such a wonderful time of your life. But, when all is said and done, and you hear that little spank and cry, you will forget everything that you went thru and be the happiest mommy in the world. Just make sure your take care of yourself, let others wait on you - this is your time. You relax and stay healthy and strong for your wee little babe. 1 Attachment(s) THanks everyone!! I appreciate it... My mom came over yesterday and cleaned our house and did laundry... it was soooo helpful! This is my third pregnancy, my first, I got sick all the time throughout the pregnancy, but I didn't have severe nausea.... My second pregnancy, didn't get sick much at all, just had a ton of heartburn... I'm soooo glad this 1 is my last because I can't do this again lol.... I can't believe I get sick every night at 9! I thought maybe if I don't eat after 6pm because digestion slows with pregnancy and slows at night, it might help.. and I only ate some chicken today and it was bland... my body is doing it's best to turn it into poisony bile and make me vomit... Guess not eating after 6 isn't going to help! :( darn! I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow, so I look forward to getting over the next 5 weeks VERY quickly!! 12 weeks is the end of the first tri right? lol There's a pic of the baby! |

I sooooo feel for you... both of mine was terrible. with lauryn my first she is now 13 i was sick the whole 9months. all i did was wake up puke, use the rest room, try to eat, puke, sleep, puke, ...well you get my point. I had to be fed with iv every 3 days cause i got so dehyrated. i couldnt even keep water down. I lost 47lbs with her... thank god i was over weight.. LOL in the 9th month it got a little better. with Lexi now 2 i was sick for the first 6 months. they put me on a med. for kemo patients. it was 32.00 a pill with insurance. I had to take one a day.. it did help was able to work, but puked 100 times a day. I sooooo feel for you. try dry cerel thats what i did with lexi. nothing worked for lauryn. thats why it took us 11 years to do it again. LOL They were the best thing in the world and worth every puke i had. lol I hope things get better for you. Try to do what the doctor says to keep this baby safe. they told me that usually when you are puking its a sign that your body is going through the right changed and that the baby is growing but its just not agreeing with your body.. my doctor would joke a say... just think when you are puking ....healthy baby. lol lauryn was my first and i was scared to death that with all the dry heaving and puking that it would knock her loose. lol i didnt know any better. was only 22 and it was my first baby. I'm so sorry you're having a hard time but I've heard of people with really difficult pregnancy's before in this pregnancy journal online it only lasts 9 months! just remember that! and talk to your doctor if you really think you're dehydrated that's verrrry dangerous just try to eat healthy and watch for foods that might upset your stomach heartburn sucks! I actually have it right now ha ha |
So sorry you are feeling so sick. WIth my dtr I had had 3 miscarriages previously and kind of gave up on getting pregnant. One day I started throwing up so bad I just laid on the bathroom floor for 24 hours. My yorkie at the time, Zorro stayed with me the whole time. My usband took me to the hospital the next day and they said they couldn't give me anything until they made sure I wasn't pregnant. By that time I was praying that I wasn't so I could get something for the vomiting. But I was pregnant so all they could do was Iv me to ger me rehydrated. I ended back there 2 days later for dehydration and they admitted me for 24 hours to give me an Iv with B6 to helo with the nausea. After that I was sick for the first 12 weeks and then it just completely went away. Try and get as much help as you can right now and rest. |
Sorry to hear how you are feeling. I have had 5 kids the first pregnancy was a girl no nausea nothing,the next was a boy and I puked all teh way through till I deliverd,the next was a boy also no symptoms either,the next another boy and alot of cramping and bleeding off and on till about 4 months I had 3 ultrasounds and all was okay.The next little one was another boy( Brandon) a SUPRISE for he was a vasectomy baby 7 years later.Alot of cramping and bleeding with this pregnancy also till about 6 mths with him then alot of spotting the last month ,but only and hour of labor with Brandon!! Every pregnancy is different and wears on us different ,some we need more sleep and rest and others we can do anything all the way through. The little stinkers can sure put us through the wringer.I loved being pregnant and did not mind delivery either my labors were never over 5 hours and only a couple of pushes and mine popped out.My sisters on the other hand had hard times during pregnacy and labors.They wonderd how I got mine so easy and all 4 of them did not. Good luck rest take care of your self eat well and do not over work yourself.Sometimes our bodies do things to tell us to slow down and we need to take heed of them. Hope the rest of your pregnancy is uneventful and goes well for you so you can enjoy it.My sister had cysts with hers also and the actually after delivery removed one ovary and said probably no more babies she had 3 more,but she had a long harad pregnancy alot of cramping and bleeding off and on nothing ruptured though.She had surgery 3 days after the baby was born. I had what you got with my last baby! I had to stay off my feet for weeks on end, I had to have help with my son and getting him to school and back, laundry, and dinner and of course house work. I had morning sickness in the morning I am sorry you are going through this! I had a great family and wonderful friends. Ask for help! You can't do it and no one should expect you to run your household when you can't! It will all be over soon and you will have a cute little bundle to love! Good luck! |
Update Well, I had went to see a nurse yesterday for new patient history... she took my weight and I was 131... I've lost 18 lbs since beginning of October... She said I looked horrible, I hear that a lot lately lol.. :( I was very sick yesterday, at one point the nurse called back and said because I'm not doing well the dr. wants to see me again before my regular ob visit... so, I go back today... in an hour, I've had some more bloody discharge this morning... so, I'll update again later once I get back home.... |
Well I would like to say congrats and I am also sorry you are going thru this. I hope you feel better, wayyyyy better and no I have never been pregnant so I don't know what if feels like, although I have had an ovarian cyst but I have heard it is tough. I hope the best for you. |

Thanks again! I get to go home today... I have to come back in 3 times a week for IV fluids until I'm better, eating and drinking on my own... I still get sick when I eat... sooooo.. fuuuunn.... |
I'm so sorry your having a rough time!! I just felt sick during my 1st trimester but never actually puked....although I think I would've felt better if I did! I felt awful!! I would recommend trying ginger flavored altoids....they can work wonders.:) I hope you get to feeling better soon!!:love-hug1 |
BLess you, it will get better. I did the same with all three preg. It is no picnic. After all of the vomiting and sleeping most of the day away with the third, it got alot better about the 13th or 14th week and then felt good except for chasing the other two little ones that were under the age of 4...what was I thinking;) We survived. But do take and beg all of the help you can for now. It seems like when they are all on the ground, everyone is busy:rolleyes: What about the bloody discharge, is it better??? |
