I think i have been conned by a yt member So i purchased a carrier from a YT member, i am in UK she is in USA so i payed $95 with paypal. Anyway i have tried contacting her with emails and through myspace but i dont get a reply. She was really nice she helped me set up a myspace account and we chatted through IM. I really liked her and she was really genuine, maybe she will get in touch,i hope anyway. But what do i do if she doesnt and the carrier doesnt arrive? Maybe im overreacting???? :confused: |
You maybe overreacting. Most of our members are great! I've purchased things on here before and have had no problems... Did she have a lot of posts or was she a new person? Someone with a lot of posts I'm sure will be fine.. :) |
Plus, it takes ages for things to get over there! It's prolly just chuggin along on the snail mail! Hang in there! |
i hope it's just taking a long time shipping. my sister lives in hawaii and if it gets sent on a barge and not by mail it can take 2 weeks. |

I once shipped a package to UK that took 3 weeks, another that took 7 days... Wait a little longer, I think. |
Sometimes shipping may take a while from the US to the UK. Did the seller provide you with a tracking number? Also, you can file a complaint with your credit card company (or your bank), as well as Paypal if you do not receive the item, as they do offer buyer protection for cases such as this if you do not receive the item. They will give you your money back in full. We hope it all works out for you either way. |
I ship all over the world and I have ALOT of customers in UK and for some reason it seems to take weeks for my orders to get there. Even when I global express mail them. Its really frustrating for me as a seller becasue once I ship it there is nothing I can do to speed up the delivery process. I dont know if its customs or the UK's postal service that is so slow. Do you know if the UK is strict on customs? Ive always wondered if that was the problem. I dont have this problem with any other countries, just UK. Have you messaged the person here on YT? |
I shipped a doll to the U.K. one time...on boat...took TWO months!! It was Christmas rush of course but you just never know...dont lose hope! Dawn |

I hope you weren't scammed and get your carrier! It could be that it's taking time to get there! Others posted that it takes a long time for a package to get to the UK, but I remember shipping a package to you that took a week or less. Then again, it took a package I mailed to Florida a month, so who knows where these packages sit waiting to be delivered. Best wishes to you...I hope you get your carrier!!! |
Thankyou everyone, i know the parcel wont arrive for at least another week or 2, But i am trying to contact her to find out if she has even shipped it. I have sent her messages but i havent had a reply and i know she has been online, so she must have my emails? She has been a member for a while,although she doesnt post overly a lot. I just desperatley needed a carrier for Mitzi as she isnt allowed to walk much, because of her heart condition,therefore i have to carry her everywhere. I guess i should have got one from ebay or something,im so stupid :( And yes Connie your shipping was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!! i got it in like 4 days :thumbup: admin~i dont have a tracking order unfortunatley |

It IS odd that she didn't get back with you on the carrier to let you know if it shipped - but with it being overseas - that could account for the time.....I would think you'll get your carrier if she did all that to help you - the lack of email responses would bother me too. With the labels I just started doing for people - I make SURE they're updated on every thing I do - and it's no where near that amount of money you sent her.... I shipped right to CANADA one and it took over a MONTH. I also shipped to UK 2 times and one time it took just a week and another about a month. I really have NO IDEA how it all works but know that sometimes it can take FOREVER to even the simplest places. One time I mailedright to the next town and it took 10 days:eek: |
It does take time for things to arrive from the UK.....but if comes down to it, simply contact paypal and see what they can do for you. I use paypal for ebay purchases and they like to keep a good rep. but I'm not sure if they can do anything either but it is worth a try. That's my suggestion. |

I would be patient and wait a little longer. Shipping can take a while. I work at a law firm and we ship stuff overseas every day and it can take anywhere from 3-6 weeks (depending on customs and delays). I'm sure everything will work out. |
I ordered something from the UK on ebay and its been a month and I still havent gotten it yet. I would be suspicious though that she is not answering your emails |
ground international mail can take weeks it way cheaper but it takes longer air international mail should take a week or less it depends on how it was sent if it comes down to it you can dispute it on paypal and get your money back for products not recieved but i think you have to do that within 30 days i think it will arrive though good luck |
i think the big problem is no response from the member when she tries to contact her. she should at least respond. lets hope it works out |
Its ok guys, panic over, i have heard from her, she has had personal hitch ups! and she will be posting the carrier soon! i'm happy now just wanted an email! i knew she was too nice to scam me! thanks for all your help and advice! :D :thumbup: |
