What makes this whole thing so much harder to stomach is that happens in far too many facilities in EVERY little town.... in every single STATE in this country - :( :( :( :( :( in all these years of you'd Think somone would have found a better solution than killing innocent dogs who did nothing but to be born - We need some serious laws changed and fast - It seems everyone is breeding these days and I know it's probably been going on a long time like this - but with the net - there is so much more info out there and people just aren't getting it. They just continue to add to an already bad problem - whether it be by having puppies.... or being irresponsible for an already living dog. |
Wow that was so sad couldnt read it either. I agreed with you Villette we need better laws and is so sad that this is practice at all. :( |
This is so sad!!! I can't stop crying.... sometimes, I feel so guilty, for buying a puppy... and there are so many dogs in need... |
you can all say that laws on everyone breeding need to be changed and that everyone should spay and neuter...but how many of you rescued your dog? because thats where it has to start by empyting all the shelters...im not blaming anyone im guilty of it too i bought one of mine from a breeder but then i realized all the ones in the shelters need homes to so i rescued my yorkie..she has no papers but i love her just the same...if you resuce a dog then it frees its cage for another so neither have to be euthanized |

i know me too...i bought my chihuahua but then i rescued my yorkie after going to a shelter with a friend and was an outdoor one and i felt bad for them all and i saw her hiding in the corner so i took her home! I wish i had enough room/time/money for them all big and small! my 2 cats are rescues and my big lab mix is also but my house is full with all of them! |
I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU!! SHELTERS SHOULD TRY TO SAVE ANIMALS NOT TO KILL THEM!!! THAT IS HORRIBLE AND CRUEL!:( Quote:

This is heart breaking but so true. |
im all choked up... damit |
That was terribly sad, I wish the people that want pets, would do their research first. So manypeople want breeds for the wrong reasons and know nothing about them. I wish we could save them all, but its not possible. Not having kill shelters isn't the greatest idea. No kill is not entirely fair to a animal, to live in a cage with no real home or family, for an indefinite amount of time. The over population of these animals would reach a staggering high, because too many people think animals are disposable. If every dog was saved from now on, the upkeep, land, resources, and volunteer time would be insane! Like so many other things it starts with us, with stricter laws and a change in spay/neuter laws. The only reason I don't back no kill, is I have visited several. It is heart breaking to see animals that have become unadoptable, that will live in a kennel forever. Most of these places have stopped taking pets and are living on a wing and a prayer. I also believe that certain things shouldn't be discussed by the media. A story ran on local news a while back called "Dead Dog Walking' that was the equivalent to that article. Only imagine being there, seeing the rows of dead dogs, watching it first hand, seeing the ones waiting for next week. It WAS gut wrenching, however, for the few people that it made a difference for, great. I hope they spay/neuter ect.. But the vast majority of people had never been exposed to this, I am not so sure how this affected them positively. My point is, 10 minutes later, Death is a part of life. You can't save them all. Cruel yes, but it is something we have to accept. The problem is us, until we fix it nothing will get any better. |
That is so sad |
