| Googling = Creepy Kathryn V's post got me thinking... I was never aware that anyone could google our user name. So I did just that and posts from yorkie talk showed up!!!! And also a Cairn Terrier message board I posted on when I was researching breeds. CREEPY!!! I always felt like posting here was this safe, anonymous little haven for yorkie lovers. Was anyone else aware of this? And is anyone else as weirded out by this as I am? If I had known better I would have picked a user name I don't use elsewhere! But on a pretty funny note... I also saw in my googling that a 57 year old man is using my user name on SEVERAL dating sites. LOL.

| I really hate the fact that anyone can "google" anything (name, username, etc) and found out where I am, where I have been, what I have looked at, etc. Did you know, you can google in your address and see the satelite image of your property....I think that has gone way too far! I don't like the fact that you can get anyone's number, address, map to their house, etc. just by googling their name either. Now, I have nothing to hide or to run from.....I just like my privacy....there are too many crazy people in this world..........scary!!!!

| Man I am right there with y'all. Last night I called my Dad and he recited information off my Myspace to me! Not Good! Thank the Lord I'm grown and it wasn't anything too bad, he's was just a little concerned. Also, another time, a girl, that I don't know saw my Myspace and recognized my BF at his work. She kept starring at him and finnaly told him she saw him on my page. She even went as far to tell him what he was wearing, down to the color and wording. Really creepy. He was not thrilled at all! Apparently I was on a friend of a friends, friend list (still following?!) and she was just being nosy checkin' out my man! Needless to say, after that, it went to private. In light of recent incidents I am working on making myself harder to find. Finally, the BF and I were on the internet not to long ago and he decided to do a reverse directory phone # look up. Turns out you can find out the general area of a cell phone owners home (or the exact land line address), estimated income and service provider. Not Good. |

| I have done this many times. My sister just turned 16 and I needed to know some of the things she was talking about and such. I'm glad I was able to find the things I did. |

| Another forum had certain members that would google people and find info on them, post it everywhere. Anything to cause this person problems. Even take the time to make up fake emails from different agency and use it agaisn't them. What the hell? To much evilness. I would think twice before putting my name ,address and phone number on any message boards. I googled my name and the only thing that came up is a place where I posted a picture of the new park here. I had entered it in a contest and put my full name. But yeah, you can google your username too. |

| Well first off, I do agree it's creepy and don't like it very much. But on another note, I thought it was pretty cool because it took me to a website that I created a long time ago with all my poems that I had written that I thought I lost!
