*****Please Say A Prayer For The Safety Of These Kids!!!
 

Everyone, I am asking for all of your thoughts and Prayers at this time. There is a school in my town where a man is holding at least 50 kids at gunpoint right now as we speak, and possibly teachers as well. Our entire police station is there, but this has been going on for the last 4 hours, and who knows how long it is going to drag on...so please everyone, say a Prayer for everyone and their families and the children's safety. I babysit a little girl who's sister goes to this school.

Also, this is an elementary school.

I have NO idea...that is what no one can figure out. He snuck into the lunch room at 4:00 this afternoon and most of the kids were gone already, but there were alot of kids that stayed after school for tutoring, and those are the ones that he is holding hostage at gunpoint. There is going to be another live report in a little while on our news station, and I will be sure and let everyone know if there are any new details given. If it drags on much longer, I imagine that it will be on most news stations everywhere, being that it is a school :(

I don't know all the details of it yet, but somehow they got some of the kids bussed off to another local school (the school where my nephew goes, it is a juinor high school) and notified the parents of the situation and told them to pick those kids up there. However, there are still alot of kids that are trapped in the other school.

Hubby and I drove by there (of course the street is blocked, and all of the surrounding streets, but we stopped at a gas station and watched for a little while) and all you see is nothing but cops walking around, parked police cars, and flashing lights...it is so sad :( I hope they can get that maniac out of there and get every single person in the school out safely with no harm done to anyone...

Oh no! I am sending prayers for those poor babies\' safety. Please keep up up to date! I haven\'t heard anything about it here.

OMG this is terrible what sick people man why do they target poor defnceless kids i hope everything turns out ok. Is there any updadte?

I know, I do not understand these types of things. It is so sickening to think that these monsters are EVERYWHERE these days...

There should be an update within the next 5-10 minutes. I will post as soon as I hear!

Situations like these really make me nervous. We have an open campus in a residental area and a stair case at the back of the school going down to some houses. We\'re always concerned "if" something will happen. We had a situation one time since I\'ve been there. IT SUCKS! The teachers are supposed to keep cool for the kids. When we really don\'t know what\'s going on it\'s hard to keep the calm.


I\'m keeping my thoughts with the families and kids.
