A lot of people don't agree with pagent, and that is perfectly fine. But, just because someone does something that you don't agree with does not mean that it is wrong. It is a matter of personal opinion.

yes your right this is no excuse for what he did but if she hadnt of been in pagents he would of never seen her, when your in the public eye you open a door to all sorts of people good and bad. she might of loved being in them just like you did but i my self would never put a child in one as i am awear of the sickos that might be watching a child look and act like a woman or in her case look like a porn star.

very true thats why i said i my self would never put a child in to one thats my choice i dont like children wearing make up like that and acting like that but also i think its not a good thing for a child to worry about how they look, but if someone else thinks pagants are fine and just fun thats there choice.

Geesh!! I don't think we should blame her death on her being in pagent's, that just isn't fair. I think her parent's have been through enough over this... I think this is just as worse as the defense attorney of a rapist using a woman's past sexual history against the rape victim.:thumbdown

From watching GMA this morning, it's starting to look like this guy might be lying. As already mentioned, he claimed he drugged her and no drugs were found in her system. He is also claiming intercourse but the autopsy did not show evidence of penetration by an adult male. He also said he picked her up from school that day but school was closed for Christmas break. The exwife says he was out of state and I don't think she would provide a false alibi because she put a restraining order to keep him away from their kids when she found he had child pornography. She is publicly saying he is a threat to children. However this turns out- he sure is a sicko!

Yea I'm sure her parents have been through a lot :rolleyes: especially considering they were involved...I wonder if they even feel guilty for her death at all?? hmm, probably not cause they are just as sick as this other freak. And IN MY OPINION, yes pageants are horrible displays of sexualized and adultized children. I believe if anything, her parents are 100% to blame for putting her in pagaents where she was made to look like a playboy model, and giving any joe shmo that comes to these events a glimpse at their daughter. I believe pageants are useless (no offense to anyone in them, but this is just my opinion). Who cares if you have a cute kid, everyone thinks their kid is cute. I'm sure my kids will be cute, but I'm not going to give any sickos any excuses or reasons to drool over my 6 year old. That is just sickening.

Not to offend anyone, but I agree with this post. Kids can socialize in more nurturing environments using their creativity and intellect instead of competing each other while wearing unbecoming pieces of clothing. Why should a child ever wear make up except maybe for halloween?

I don't but one child dying is more than enough. They actually had a show on this not to long ago so the numbers they revealed on that show were startling, but I just don't remember them :rolleyes:
There are so many ways kids can be artistic and social and the environment isnt' threatening to their childhood or their life.

I absolutely agree!! I would NEVER put my child in a position to be objectified, especially at the young age of 6!! This child was made to look like a sexual object for no reason other than her mother reliving her fantasy of being a beauty queen. She purposely put her child in the spotlight of perverts, pedophiles and sick freaks. Maybe she didn't directly kill her, but she certainly put her on that path. I am sorry for those who agree with pageants for children but I think they are useless and contribute to stress, poor self image and vanity in children that should still be playing in a sandbox. There are better, healthier ways for children to be socialized. I don't believe this man did it, I think he is just obsessed with JonBenet and is trying to get credit for her death as a way of fulfilling some sick fantasy of his. It all makes me so sick.:mad:

her death wasnt cos of being in a pagent thats not what im saying at all, who ever killed her was a sicko and if it hadnt of been her he would of done it to another child, its no excuse for a sicko to say well i did it cos she was in a pagent cos thats bull, but when someone puts there child in the public eye for what ever reason you always have to remember you are opening a door to ALL of the public including sickos, anyone who could rape and murder a child is sick which means they do not think like you and i, i look at those kids dressed up like porn stars and i think oh my god they are children and should not be put across to the public like sex objects, a sicko on the other hand looks at them as sex objects and in there sick mind think these kids are sex objects and fair game and even think these kids want to be seen this way and are teaseing them, you have to remember we see them as CHILDREN but these nasty sickos dont.

CNN just posted a breaking news saying this sicko "offered details about the condition of the body that have never been made public." I'm now back to being confused over who could have done this. There was a time I thought the parents were involved. Then I jumped on the "bandwagon" that this guys they have in custody did it. Next came differing bits of information that hinted he may not have done it, was lying maybe for the publicity. And now this. I guess I'm just gonna wait on the DNA evidence and go from there. Either way, it is such a sad tragedy - a beautiful child robbed of her life way too young:(

like i said b4 i dont think the mum and dad did it but i do think she was abused by many and for money:mad: , and this time it went to far and she was killed by this man.:mad: and did the mum and dad have anything to do with the abuse and money being taken?, make your own minds up about that, i have:mad:

I personally feel that that poor little girl was molested throughout her life. Who knows how much she suffered in her short little life? Her mom was so busy selling her off in pageants that she neglected to protect her child. I don\'t think she killed her but she failed her as a mom. My mom was molested by a neighbor as a little girl and she was always very protective of me. She never put short little dresses on me or dressed me in any way that would cause a man to look at me as anything other than a child. As a result, I grew up to be a very conservative woman and will be as protective with my own daughter. Our jobs as parents is to protect our children. In my eyes, Patsy Ramsey as well as John failed to protect their little girl. To me, that makes them as guilty as the animal who murdered her.

Does anyone remember JonBenet having scar tissue in or around her vaginal area? I THINK I remember reading this in a book or something and if it is true, scar tissue doesn\'t occur right away....it\'s scar tissue...happens over a period of time or something has has happened in the past.

On the news just now it said that the confession doesn\'t match the crime. No drugs were found in her blood work, but he says he drugged her and raped her. They aren\'t even sure she was sexually assaulted, it was inconclusive.
I don\'t think he did it. I think he just wants notoriety. He has followed the case for years, researching and such his brother says. Sadly, I still think the parents knew more than they said.

I have heard this as well and that is why I have always felt that little girl was molested throughout her life. Her mother probably knew this and did nothing.

I totally agree with the statement above, parents need to take on our God given responsability of caring and rearing our children in the way they should grow. This isn\'t being done here in the United States, I have only read the last page here on this forum so I don\'t know what others have posted. One thing I firmly believe in, that all those convicted of sexual crimes be identified in some way that they are recongnized by the public, TATOO on their forehead, WHATEVER, but let others know who they are. Our system in this country is crazy, how many times do we hear of these people released from prison just to turn around and go out and rape and murder again. Where is it going to stop. I don\'t know what the answer is but I do know if these people were visibily identifiable on the streets and about, our children and women and yes boys would be able to be made aware to BEWARE. This is just one lil ole ladies opinion, mine. Patti

I\'m not so sure I believe the guy who has confessed. His story doesn\'t match the way the evidence goes.

Also, his wife says he was home with her and their children and that she has photos to prove it........unless she\'s lying.
