OMG YOU MEET TIM MCGRAW you ARE sooo lucky. tell me what tim like please:)

That's my very favorite movie! I keep trying to get around to getting a cooler favorite movie but its so hard to top "nobody puts Baby in a corner".

Acting celebrities, no, but have met Troy Aikman (JERK!), Emmitt Smith (VERY SWEET) and Cowboy's owner Jerry Jones (Really kind).

Jerry Jones was nice and Troy was a jerk?? I thought it would be the very opposite. I have disliked the cowboys and Jerry Jones especially since he took over and fired Tom Landry. Troy always seemed like one of the decent players on the team...and of course Emmitt Smith with all his charity work, I know he MUST be a great guy!! So tell how Troy was a jerk....

I met Tim McGraw a LONG time ago, before he was even married to Faith Hill. I was dating the drummer of a country band and they opened for Tim in Fairbanks, Alaska :) He was so nice (I knew I should have snagged him then, hahahahahha)

But the celebrity encounter that I still dream about is meeting Chris Noth (Mr. BIG) on the pier in Valdez, Alaska! He was there for a summer theatre program they put on every year (celebrities always go for the fishing) and I was walking down the pier in my oh so pretty rain gear smelling like the dead halibut I had just gutted with fish blood all over me.

I saw him and tripped over my own feet, smack into him! I couldn't speak, he was so nice. I was with my boyfriend at the time who couldn't stop laughing at me for being so starstruck! IT WAS MR. BIG!!!! he is so dreamy.

For a couple of years in a row, they had Cowboy camp in Wichita Falls (where I'm from). Saw them at the club one night and met, shook hands with Jerry Jones and got his autograph. He kinda reminded me of a perv but he was really nice.

Met and shook hands with Emmitt and he was very attentive. Big pearly white smile! So personable.

Troy didn't want to be bothered with anyone. Shook his hand but he was too busy drinking his beer to have a conversation.

One night they had a section of the club blocked off for VIP...missed this night but heard about it. ANYWHO, there was a lady in a wheel chair that went up to Troy. She tapped him on the arm a couple of times and when he finally turned around, he looked down at her and turned right back around without saying a word.

They key players stayed at the Holiday Inn which is VERY nice. Anyway, my mom's husband was the manager of the hotel at the time. He allowed the key players and Jerry Jones to stay in the hotel for free. The other players stayed at the college campus. Anyway, I heard about all sorts of wild parties! LOL

Mom's hubby got several free tickets from Jerry (which we went with them to a game...Cowboys vs. Redskins and Cowboys won) and an autographed helmit from Troy and a couple of autographed footballs (from all of the players). They gave me one of the footballs and it's tucked away for safe keeping.

Very nice mostly everyone that I have met have been nice except Lavar Arrington (Washington Redskins/NY Giants) very arrogant and not that cute to top it off.

I have heard a lot of nice things about Emmitt Smith, my fiance' said he was really cool (he is a big Cowboys fan).

I know, right? That's why I said "Don't laugh". Figured I"d get a bunch of eye rolls on that one. But you know what...I could watch only the last ten minutes & be just happy!

My list goes on and on but I have to stress that I don't exactly MEET them but I'm around celebrities all the time.

I used to work at MTV and now I work at FUSE so I'm around them alot. I just had a conversation with some band members of New Found Glory yesterday and I saw Jurassic 5 today. I met alot of actors and performers. My BIG deal was Brad Pitt and he said hi to me. I also got complimented by Method Man.

hmmm...rosie o'donnel is executive producing the next show I'm working on so I don;t know if these count as MEETING them.

Vilette...you're kinda a celebrity yourself so your on my list.

Are you kidding don't laugh like Dirty Dancing is such a bad thing:D I LOVE LOVE LOVE that movie I still watch it every month or so. I can quote the whole movie (get a life I know);) I have even turned my nieces (19 &18) on to it. It's a classic.

Here is my near brush with Reba story.

My best friend, for 40 years, was in Omaha visiting me. We went to a new outdoor mall with some very trendy boutiques, window shopping (that's all I can afford).

On the way home we drove past our new convention center. My friend asked what it was, I told her and said that Reba was there that weekend.

She said uuuhhh!!! I think I saw her in that one shop. I said well I would have known by her voice. she said that is what made me look, her voice, but I thought no it couldn't be.

I said well why didn't you point it out to me.

She said well I didn't want to sound stupid.

WHAT. We've been friends for 40 years, STUPID is what we do best. auuuuugggggghhh.

As a young young child I met Donna Fargo at Carrowinds with my parents. (anyone even remember her? lol)

I live close to a country club called Bermuda Run that hosts the crosby golf tournament. In my late teenage years I met Katherine Crosby, Pat Boone, Alex Trebek (jeapordy host)
All the band members from Blackfoot when I was 19, The band members from Rod Stewart's band same year (even though he left the building) Band members Britney Fox, Steppenwolf, and Faster Pussycat (please don't laugh at that one!) Saw Kid Rock up close and personal but didn't speak to him.

The bands were all at a place called "Baity's" now known as Brew ha ha's in Winston Salem.

Edited to say: Oh YEAH! i FORGOT I met Jim and Tammy Faye Baker at the PTL club with my grand parents when I was young! LOL! Can't believe I forgot that one. I don't know if you consider them celebrities but they SURE were in the news alot!

I met Kid Rock in vegas and actually last weekend Dave Chappele...no pics though
