Right now as I type this, hubby is driving the kitten "Little Johnny" to the Brooklyn CACC. We cannot bring him to our home because he has fleas -- I can't and won't risk subjecting my dogs to fleas. So I called the Brooklyn CACC and spoke to a rep there. He said they will take care of Little Johnny, clean him up, feed him baby kitten food, get rid of the worms (if any) and fleas, neuter him and give him all his shots ... then put him up for adoption. They said he may get adopted quickly because he's so young ... people mostly prefer kittens over older cats. So hopefully Little Johnny will find a wonderful family very soon. I told them that I will be calling in on a regular basis to see how he is doing. And I told them that if he doesn't get adopted, do NOT euthanzie him (I know that's a long time off but still, I feel an oglibation towards him). I said I would adopt him if I had to (if the choice between life or death came up) or find someone else to adopt him but PLEASE call me before doing anything.

So at lease this story has a happy ending for now. I'm so happy John did not decide to keep him. I would have been very pissed off.
