really sad and upset....
 

im sooooo sad and upset! as most of you know my cousins yorkie is in heat and she had another yorkie stud with her. but my cousin went on vacation so she left sophie (her yorkie) and dobe (the stud) together with her grandparents. so since they werent there they dont know for sure if they um, got it on. they were together for a week but now they saw sophie in the backyard doing her buisness and the miniature poode from the other house came and they got it on! :eek: they are like in love cause sophie always plays with him and did it a few times already. :( :( :( and now im sad cause i wanted a little yorkie but now i dont know if it looks good. i really dont know that much about yorkie-poos but if any of you have one or have experience with them please post or pm me! thanks for reading!

forgot to add that they dont know for sure if they are gonna be a mix for sure or not but we just have to wait till they are born. im so upset:(

If I'm not mistaken, don't yorkie-poo puppies look like yorkie pups at birth? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you'll be able to tell right at first if they are purebred or mixed. Yorkie-poos can be cute pups, though.

not sure if this is right but..i was told that a female can get pregant at the same time with more than one dog. so if you had a yorkie male and a poodle male you could come out with yorkies and yorkie-poos. AGAIN IM NOT POSITIVE ON THIS, IM JUST REPEATING WHAT I WAS ONCE TOLD

I can tell you that I saw a Yorkie-poo at the vet one time and let me just say it was one of the cutest puppies I have ever seen. Picture this a yorkie face, small body with the wavy/curly poodle hair. She was a dollbaby;) Georgie must have thought the same thing because he was going crazy trying to get to her so he could sniff her LOL

I've seen a few yorkie-poos as babies on the sites and it's really hard to tell so I'd say you're right Kimberley..and yorkie-poos are cute.

Puppylove123.....The only think I didn't understand is if your cousin had her yorkie in heat AND had a stud - why didn't she stay to make sure everything went ok ? I'd be so nervous if I was mating a yorkie....LOL...Wait - REPHRASE THAT ! Supervising a mating of a yorkie LOL !

thanks for the response! im just upset because i've seen many times here people saying that people who buy those mixes are just ruining the breed and all that BS...

You can't worry about what people say. I think Yorkie poos are adorable. I think people on here are usually concerned with mixing breeds and then mixing again and not caring about the welfare of the dog. Kepp us posted;)

lol V! the yorkies did have supervision though, from her grandfather but he is a dog lover and the owner of the stud would drop off the stud everyday for a couple of hours and picked him up around night time.

Don't worry about their BS! I know a lot of people who love mixed breeds! Plus you're not ruining anything at all! :) :thumbup:

OH good ! I was looking at it from a mothers point of view LOL ! IF it were MY kid - I'd want to be right there. :D

and...as far as people who get upset with the mixed breed thing ....I don't think it's as much about ruining a breed .....I think people get hot when they see people Selling mixes and calling them 'designer' dogs ...

the sales pitch always has a cute name for the puppies ...and they charge hundreds or thousands of $$ for what basically used to be called a "Ooopsie" .... i.e. (accidental mating) :)

yorkie-poos are cute AND intelligent - you just may get your puppy yet girl !

OH MY GOSH!!!!!! MY MUFFIE IS THE MOST WONDERFUL BABY IN THE WORLD!!!!. and she is a big big daddy's girl. when i 1st started looking for a dog, all i wanted was a yorkie-poo and will never regret it. she is absolutly wonderful...all my neighbors loves her....she hangs outside w us all the time and greets all of the neighbors. i couldnt be more pleased. dont get me wrong, i also love my kirby...he is such a boy

Don't be upset. Either way they are going to be incredibly cute. You'll just have to wait and see. You'll know then what you want to do.

im not upset anymore! im all excited all over again :rolleyes: i get some bad mood swings sometimes :p but yeah, im happy again! and yorkie kisses, that puppy is so cute!

i think this is right because when i was looking for my pup i talked to a breeder that had a female york and studded to a male and a week later his mom's palm got to her and they had 3 yorks and one yorkie-palm in the litter! btw yorki-poos are so adorable!!

Oh, those yorkiepoos are adorable! I assume you aren't looking to show, so it won't matter! good luck to you! I see in your signature that you get your yorkie in 5 months you are very patient! Mine was born on 6/18. I have another month to wait and can't stand it.

If I was the breeder I would place all with no papers..I am sure they will be darling.
The reason I say this is..my neighbor had a litter..her female was a white poodle and the male was a Yorkie..mom had 4 pups... 3 solid white ones and a black/gold one. She kept the black and one white pup..I defy anyone to look at these two adults and say they are mixed. The black and gold pup looked better then some Yorkies I have seen at a year..it is not always possible to tell..this is one reason pedigrees are only has honest as the breeder..meaning many breeders would have registered that black and gold as a purebred Yorkie and the white ones as poodles to get a good price....none of this post is meant to say you are not honest.

Hi, I was reading through this topic after browsing around tonight and want to say I have met those people who have the yorkiepoo.org website. I live in Lexington same city as they do. I have a new friend who helped me try to find a quality yorkie puppy that is from butterfly yorkies Turned out she was friend with the yorkiepoo lady and I checked out the puppys they had at the time. I really want a female puppy and they had some black and white males at the time. I decided to get a yorkie instead of a poo now but just thought that was neat you had that picture where I had been to. They was some of the cutest puppys I have seen though. The breeders were nice to. I saw two adult yorkiepoos and they were blonde colors and had the bows in thier hair just like a yorkie can. I'm waiting on my yorkie puppy still. She is 12 weeks soon and I should be able get her in another week or so. She is holding onto her little longer cause she is kinda small. Her other's from the litter are what you call average and maybe get to 5 pounds maybe. The girl I am waiting on might not get to 4 they think. I didn't pick her out for her size I just sat down and she came right to me like she already loved me and it was love at first site. It's about to drive me crazy waiting, it is so hard! Good luck with the puppys when they are born.

Puppylove123 -- sounds like you have a beautiful bundle of love in the oven. If she bred with the Yorkie stud AND the Poodle, then you might have a choice, yorkiepoo or a purebred yorkie! Litters can have multiple sires..... so don't be disappointed, be excited!


btw.... if I am mistaken about multiple sires for a litter, please someone correct me :)
