Has anyone else seen this? or is planning on seeing it? I've heard really good things about it. 2 of my friends and I are going to see it in a few minutes. :D

My dtr saw it last night at midnight and said it was good but not as good as the first one. Not enough of Johnny Depp in it either.

I heard it's not good at all, very boring and hard to follow...but Johnny Depp is in it so that really doesn't matter...as long as I have my eye candy :)

I LOOOOVED it!! I thought it was even better than the first one!! but it was a bit more...eh......strange? like I could go from laughing my face off one second, to going, "eww! Gross!!" the next. but it was REALLY funny. I actually liked it better than the first one. and it's not hard to follow, as long as you're paying attention. it's one of those kinds of movies where if you turn your attention away from it for more than 3 seconds, you're completley lost. But it was amazing. and I'd suggest watching the first movie again to brush up on it, so that you get a lot of the jokes, etc.

and I don't think Johnny Depp is very handsome looking...*don't shoot* I just think he looks like he needs a bath. Now Orlando Bloom...that's a whole 'nother story. :hearts6:

I just got back from taking my kids AND several of my nephews. (Yes, I like to punish myself :p ) I really enjoyed it! Atleast what I saw of it. It was kinda long and I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more if we didn't have any kids with us as I kept quite busy with the shushing of the children, the potty breaks and their thirstiness LOL:p I may not do that again, atleast not anytime soon. But I'm really glad to see that it led into a 3rd movie!! YAY

I was going to see it last night, but all of Friday's and Saturday's showings were SOLD OUT! Guess I'll be waiting a couple more days....

And Megan - You must ne NUTS girl! Johnny Depp is THE hottest thing to walk the earth! :luvu:

Orlando Bloom is pretty good lookin'... But he's a little too... I dunno... girly? wimpy?... You get what I'm sayin'

Megan, thanks for the review. I, of course, will wait until it comes out on DVD, :rolleyes: . I love Orlando Bloom also. He looks so handsome in the Lord of the rings, ;) .:)

I agreed with you in those pics Orlando looks yummy.

I went to see it last night too! It's unusual for a movie to open in NZ and the US at the same time isn't it? The movie theatre was nearly sold out and we got seats in the second row from the front. All I can say is the effects are quite a bit more INTENSE that close to the screen - and Krakken was quite a bit more err *fishy*.

I think I'm more in the :thumbup: Johny Depp:thumbup: camp. Orlando Bloom Just doesn't do it for me :p. tho I'd have to hose him down first I think! LOL

I read in a gossip magazine how Keira Knightly had to kiss both of them and Johnny Depp came out on top!

The Story was pretty good but I want to know how come the monkey is still undead but the rest of the pirate crew from the last movie aren't! How come, huh! HOW COME!?

just came back! i loved it! it was kind of long and confusing, but you have to love it! and im more into Orlando Bloom :rolleyes: this was me every time i saw him :rollingey it was good though and i cant WAIT till the 3rd i just hope Jack Sparrow, i mean CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow doesnt die :(

Saw it this afternoon. Special effects were great - but I hated that it just ended and left you hanging for the third movie which won't come out till May 07!!!!! Orlando is all the range with the under 30 year olds. For us more mature women, Johnny does it every time!!

the second picture just doesn't do it for me. But the first one is OK. he slightly resembles Orlando in that picture. :p

My kids went to see it last night at the 9:30 showing. It was packed and the other two theaters in town were sold out. They loved it. I will wait till the DVD comes out. I adore Orlando Bloom!!!!! Somthing about those eyes just melts me, lol! He can bust my bodice anytime!!

I was just saying earlier that I have to rent movie part 1. I would like to see that one before going to see #2.

We just returned from seeing Pirates of the Carribean, I loved it!!! Hubby said that the first one was better. He also said that they mumbled way too much in this one. I think he is just grumbly because the theater was packed and hot! LOL!
Ladyt: I wish I would have watched a "refresher" of the first one before going to see the second one.

but they cant make him die! i think i would die! what was your favorite line in the movie? mine was when Jack tips the rum bottle and nothing comes out and says "Were does all the rum go?!?!" And he stands up and says ''OH, thats were it goes... LOL! he is one of my fav actors, besides ORlando Bloom :D

That ending KILLED me!!!!!! I hate those type of endings!!!!!!!

But other than that... Another stellar performance from Depp!!! What a total stud in a fruity kind of way!!! Savvy?? I am!! And then some!! I'd go below deck with him anytime!!!! Who could resist??

I also loved when Elizabeth's dead fiance (his name has slipped my mind) said something to Captin Jack that was insulting and Jack said, "well you smell funny!" it would be funnier to explain if I remembered the rest of the lines lol.
