Hey My Husband Just Called And Asked If I Wanted A 15month Old Male Malteses. He Said That A Guy That Works For Him Is Getting A Divorce And The Soon To Be Ex Wife Just Wants A Good Home For Him, He Is Akc Registered. Not Neutered, Up To Date On All Vaccines. I Said Yes!!i Cant Wait To See What He Looks Like, I Was Going To Wait Because I Wanted A Female Yorkie, But I Think I Will Like The Little Guy And I Deffinatly Want Him To Have A Good Home And I Know O Could Do That! And Remmie Needs A Playmate So Bad, Little Never Wants To Play With Him.
Does Anyone Else Have A Male Maltese?

I have a male Maltese named Codie. He is a WONDERFUL little boy. I can't brag enough about the Maltese breed. They're beautiful, relaxed and laid back dogs. They are true lap dogs and BIG TIME cuddlers and kissers. I sometimes think that my Codie's goal in life is to kiss me 2 million times a day and if he reaches that goal, he's a happy camper. :D You won't be sorry if you take that little guy! Good luck and post pictures once you get him!

I have Chloe and my mom has a girl and boy. They are all awesome! The boy seems to be a little more loyal, very attached and affectionate. Not to say the girls aren't but he is a little different.

My mom has a malt...Lily. Lily is very sweet...LOVES to play fetch. The only thing you'll really notice is that their hair is much different than a yorkie's hair. Most Malteses are cotton coats which will mean more work for you. My mom keeps her malt in a schnauzer cut on the body and Lily loves it!

I Love The Long Coats, And I Have The Time But My Puppies Absolutley Hate Being Grommed, Little Girl Stands Their And Looks At You Like "what Are You Doing To Me Momma?, Stop It, I Dont Want A Bow" Then Runs When She Gets The Chance, I M Not Rough With Her I Promise, I Remember When She Was A Tiny Puppy She Would Attack The Brushes And My Hand Lordy That Hurt. Remmie Is Oka Sometimes, But He Wont Sit Still Very Long..i Have Never Actually Petted A Malt..i Cant Wait To See And Feel The Difference In The Fur!! Im So Excited But Im Worried Some One Might Change Their Mind And Im Getting Worked Up For Nothing..oh Well I Wil Just Keep My Fingers Crossed!
Do You Think I Could Put Remmie And The Malt In The Same Crate, The Malt Is Crate Trained And When I First Had Remmie I Used The Crate, But It At Grannys Right Now, I Wil Get It Back This Weekend.

My uncle has a female maltese named Casey and she is a doll!! She's small, about 6 pounds and they dress her in pink. She is a total diva but she loves to be held and kissed. I hope you do get the dog and I am sure he will be a great addition to your family. Good luck and keep us posted!! :)

From the standard , Maltese is supposed to have a silky coat .

My mom has a malt named Margo, she is such a lover and a great little friend. She is what made me want a little dog, her and my yorkie get along great! They are a great breed, they just take some upkeep as far as their hair goes!:)

ohh i hope so! he really needs someone to play with, im getting ready to go to work part time and i was going to have to keep remmie in the kitchen by hisself, and that bothered me. little girl never has accidents we could leave her all day, and she would be okay, she hates to go outside i think she holds it as long as she can. but wow you bring remmie in and and uses the potty right after i took him out. but i know that it takes a long time to potty train the smaller dogs (sometimes) this way he wont be alone in the kitchen..now if i can get him to sleep in the beds with out peeing in them..that would be great too!!..lol

When do you get him? Please post pics soon, I think Maltese are beautiful dogs. If I had one of every kind I'd like to have, I'd have to build a much bigger house....LOL

i wish i could a m and a f for all small breeds around. there is a guy with purebred papillion puppies for $100.00 he said that they were registered but that they hadnt filled the papers??
anyways i just got 2 seonds on the phone with hubby we go tomorrow to pick him up! thats all i could get out of him, work just told him he could come home for the day saturday (va) but they wanted him in ohio sunday!!!! crazy and he is salary!!!! he is soooo mad right now, i asked if he was going he said " i dont know, they are busting him around havent given his raise to him and expect him to never be home..in the words of stephanie tanner from the show full house "how rude!!!"

Congrats on the Maltese Tammy!!! I don't have one myself, but I would jump at the chance to add one to my pack. They are beautiful!! I actually hope to own one at some point in my life. A neighbor had one once and I fell in love.

The standard for maltese is a long silky coat just like the yorkies. Also just like yorkies, you will find many maltese whose coats are cotton instead of the silk. Maltese are also the same weight as yorkies and you will find some bigger and smaller just like yorkies. They are beautiful dogs and real good cuddlers. I just got my maltese boy a few weeks ago. He gets along great with Scampers my yorkie. The are best friends already and their personalities are so similiar. I don't have any pictures of him yet, I need to get some of him. sadly i think the family changed their minds. they never called and when we called we got no answer = (.
so im guessing they changes their minds or the wife changed her mind..but i\'ll let you all know if something changes.
