Kikipie, I am just so glad your son didn't get hurt when the vase fell! Know that we love you and you can feel free to tell us anything - without judgement... (most of us, anyway!) |
Here's my 2-cents' worth I've met people who have no children. Like most of us we can become overly obsessive about things, people, ahem....dogs:rolleyes:. I think in this instance her world may be focused on things because she has nothing else. I'm sure later down the road she'll realize that things are replaceable but not people. Hopefully this insight will help alleviate the sting. Forgive her for her short-sightedness and you'll find new friends....maybe one who loves her yorkie as much as you:) !!! |

Maybe I should have mentioned that it was a total accident. My friends husband was playing with Bryson and he accidently knocked it over. In our case, Bryson does not know better. He was born very prematurely and is a few months behind and has some health problems. And my friend and I were never mad at each other or anything, my feelings were just a little hurt. I thank you for being supportive! :) |

thats awefull, sorry to hear about your bad visit, I could not even fathem maing a close friend of mine pay for something, kids will be kids and accidents happen. |
My friend put her hands over her face for about five min. ...... I she bought it from Kirklands when they built the house about a year ago. How is she EVER going to explain this to the Smithsonian...:D Francie |
I wouldn't have even offered her the money. I would have found out where she got it and replaced it. My kids are very well behaved but I used to hate going to someone's house that didn't have kids. I was too nervous! |
And NOTHING from Kirklands costs $75! Unless you buy a humongous framed print or mirror! She sucks. |

And offering the money, some people on here said that you shouldn't have gotten your feelings hurt because she took it, well some people don't understand that offering the money in this case is a Southern thing (in my perspective). No one in the South would actually take the money, it is considered a peace offering to offer it, but NO ONE usually accepts it. I am just irritated about the judgemental posts that this thread got, sorry. |

Nothing like Southern Manners.......the whole world should follow suit...:) Francie |

I was born and raised in Maryland which I am sure most Southerners wouldn't consider the South (and I don't either), and I wouldn't take the money I agree with you it's a peace offering but I would not take my friends money. |

I feel the same way about the judgemental posts. Especially when I come here not to be judged or crititsized or brought down! Thanks you guys for your POSITIVE comments! =) :) |
